In Life in the Fast Lane, Marion explores a wide range of on-and off-the track issues, including the personal side of extreme athletic commitment, her lifelong struggle to make peace with her father's abandonment, the explosion in womens athletics during the past decade, and her journey back to the competition and the Olympics so soon after giving birth.

9/19/08 This autobiography of Olympic athlete, Ms Marion Jones is well written and has many great illustrations...It does not have an index ; in my scanning of the book ,I did see the names of people and places ,which in my opinion, did merit being listed within an index. 9/19/08 abj

1.0 out of 5 stars All Lies!!, October 29, 2008
In this cover up masquerading itself as an inspirational tale we get a story of overcoming the odds to win it all. I'll acknowledge Marion's inner strength and determination but there is one humongous glaring omission. Never once does she mention BALCO or her use of steroids. Those are the things that propelled her to stardom in the 2000 Olympics.

If you're a young girl looking for a fictionalized, albiet loosely based in reality hero, then this is the book for you. If you're looking for a truthful account of one of track and fields most celebrated athletes, you're looking in the wrong book.
