Sword and Sorceress
A very nice collection of short stories where the protagonists are female. I rather enjoy the unique way the various authors have of presenting their characters and the challenges they face.

this series is petering out...
The quality of the stories is not what it used to be - I dont know whether it is the loss of MZB's hand at the helm, or just that the best contributors have already 'done their thing' and only the B and C teams are left. Either way, with regret, I will not be ordering more of this series.

I bought Sword and Sorceress I when I was in high school, and every year since. This is one of the best anthologies in the genre.
