OK. Nothing can prevent ALL the brown spots in the lawn when you have (large) dogs. We've owned Goldens for 30 years and this has always been an issue, even when the grass is adaquetly watered. These supplements do seem to help, however. We're noticing fewer brown spots, and somewhat less damage on the spots that have turned brown.

The dog likes the chewable tabs, so we use them as treats. She gets 3 each day, which makes the cost (over a summer season) pretty reasonable. A plus is that the grass looks a lot better. I'd recommend people giving these a try.

Green-UM's work really well for us NOW. On the suggestion of our vet, we started splitting the serving. It made all the difference. Otherwise, that first trip out in the morning is quite concentrated and likely to damage your lawn. You absolutely must make sure your dog has access to water during the night as they will get thirsty.

I was pretty skeptical, but since amazon had this for $30 I figured I would give it a try. We just installed new sod in our yard, and it looked fantastic! That is, until our 2 dogs started to use the lawn. Ugly yellow patches started to appear in less than 2 weeks! So we bought this. I have watched my lab pee on a patch of grass and then check it a few days later...no yellow! That said, I still follow my dogs out in the morning and pour a jug of water on each spot- just in the morning, the rest of the day they use the yard. I think that in the morning it is more concentrated, so a little extra effort is worth it. I still see a spot every now and then but overall it is much improved. My female lab was the biggest problem, so I give her two in the morning and two at dinner. She doesn't seem to be thrilled with the taste though, so I put it in her food, and she eats it without a problem.

I have been giving my dog this product for over a year. It does what it says. I can always find the marks left by friends dogs when they come to visit. The product keeps my dog from causing these brown spots. Good Product!

We tried this product when we were living in another house and found the lawn was improved. When we moved and neglected the Green-Um, our lawn was awful! We replaced the yellow patches with Scott's new product (says it grows grass on cement!) and gave the dogs Green-Um. I can't say our grass is perfect but boy, what an improvement. I try and get in with the hose right after one of them pees as well. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this purchase. We have a 65 lb female lab and a 50 lb male Springer and use the Green-Um Extra Strength - 2 tabs at night and one in the morning.

I have a large german shothair pointer, and he use to burn my lawn, but no more. He would go behind my little female german shorthair pointer and pee so much , our lawn was terrible until we got this green UM. I buy the Extra Giant for my 90LB . The proper amount does count too, so if you have a very large dog, then buy the Green UM Giant.

This product doesn't work. Don't waste your money like we did. We have a very healthy three year old German Shorthaired Pointer that's killing our new sod with his nitrogen enriched urine (so we've learned). This product has not stopped him from burning spots all over! It's so frustrating. We love our dog, but hate his pee! We use the appropriate number of pills for his weight, but it doesn't help. We only continue to give them to him as we don't want to see over $60 go down the drain. We even asked our vet about it (unfortunately after the fact) and she said that they really don't work and that making sure he's drinking tons or washing his urine with a lot of water afterwards is the only tried and true solution. Who wants to chase their dog's pee spot with water after everytime they go?!?! We can't win!!!

It is a slow process but after several years of continuous use winter and summer we are pretty much all green!! Yeah! Please keep the large botttle.
