We like our kids to spend a minimum amount of time reading each night before bed. This bookmark takes the guesswork out of timing their reading. Best of all, they love to use it!

The controls are very clear and the kids have no problem understanding how to set and reset the timer as needed. Highly recommended!

I bought one of these for my daughter (13) & one for me. My daughter doesn't like using hers, but I like keeping track of my reading per day & how long it takes to complete each book that I read. I don't know why, I'm just strange like that! Anyway, the bookmark seems to be pretty durable because I read on my front porch quite a bit and it has fallen onto the concrete several times and has not cracked or appear damaged in any way. The only complaint I have is that the start/stop button is finicky. You have to push it just right or it doesn't obey. Sometimes I think it's on, but it's not or vice-versa.

This is a great little tool! Very fun way to time your reading for school or just for fun. Works well and is durable.

We bought two of these and they did not work. They were not even the same when we turned them over and one of them didn't have batteries. We did the troubleshooting video from the product website with no success-red flag there is a troubleshooting video! POS

If you're thinking about this as a tool to measure speed reading improvement, you'll be disappointed. After the first 59 seconds, it switches to whole minutes and does not show seconds, which makes it pretty worthless for completing speed reading exercises.

It is also sealed in packaging that must be destroyed in order to open it, so you can't (at least I can't) return it in good conscience.

I bought this one for my older daughter. It is also her second one (the first was bought at a store 6 years ago) and I highly recommend them. Keeps their place in their books and keeps the time, since they have to read so many minutes a night.

I purchased this for my daughter, she has to read for specific time periods for school. The product came and it did not work. Product seemed cheaply made. The idea of this type of item is genius, but they need to make a better product.

My son has to read a certain amount of minutes each night for school. It works well. I love that it is small enough to stick in his book but big enough to read the time without any problems.

My fourth grade son and all his friends, even his teachers thought this bookmark was great. I found him reading every chance he could get. He loved being able to keep track of exactly how much time he was reading. I do suggest labeling it with your child's name or contact info. My son dropped his a few times since he was carrying his book everywhere.

Great idea, but it has some quality control issues. I purchased two of these (one in red and one in blue) and the red one has been just fine. However, the blue one has been finicky since day one...although I am sure the color has nothing to do with it ;-) We have had to re-seat the battery a few times (per the manufacturer's instructions on their website) when the screen has gone blank. I agree with another reviewer who said that the start/stop button needs to be pressed "just so" or else it may or may not start/stop. I wonder if the repeated pressing of the start/stop button in order to make it work properly somehow affects the working mechanism...especially with kids thinking they have to press the button harder to make it work. The next time we see a blank screen, I intend to request a replacement from the manufacturer. If that happens, I will update this review to reflect how the company handles this concern.
