6 of 6 people found the following review helpful By Richard A. Tucker VINE VOICE on February 9, 2006
Format: Paperback
If anyone doesn't know what Mark Schultz wants to do with his talents after viewing the work in this collection, well, look again.

Mark Schultz created a wonderful but brief little series titled Xenozoic Tales back in the early eighties and he's clearly not over it. There are beautiful drawings in pencils and in finished dry brush ink throughout this book showcasing Mark's undying passion for his creation. This is not to slight the gorgeous sketches and drawings of Conan also featured, along with private commisions and the self-rejected (?!)cover for his "Subhuman" series. This is, so far, the one title released by Flesk Publications featuring a contemporary artist. Flesk's other titles feature illustrators Joseph Clement Coll and Franklin Booth. All of the Flesk books are gorgeous and this one is no exception.

Mark's seeming fixation with his characters from Xenozoic is the perfect theme for his first, and what I hope are many collections to come.
