Book Description

Part two of a two part series.

Jay and Lily complete each other in ways no one else ever could, teaching one another things about themselves they wouldn't have known otherwise, but is it enough? Can two people from entirely different worlds find a way to make it last? Even if their love is strong enough, they still have an obstacle standing in their way. Will they survive the “game”, or will The Marker destroy everything they had hoped to create?

This book contains violence, excessive language, and sexual content. It's intended to be read by mature audiences.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST BOOK SERIES EVER!!! February 6, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
**I was gifted copy by the author in return for an honest review.

Stop whatever you are doing right now and go buy this book!!! The Slammed series used to be my favorite, but oh no. Everyone else including 50 Shades of Gray.... Move right on over! This series is off the charts AMAZING!!!! The rawness this that is in this book made me want to bend over backwards and find me a man who would be this DEEP with me. This emotionally vulnerable, but who would kill anyone who came near me. Who could reveal his deepest fears and emotions, yet make people cower away with just one look.......

J.M. Sevilla is a gifted writer! I could not put this book down. I was definitely still up at midnight reading this book! AMAZING!!! There is action, angst, humor, WTF moments and a HOT Alpha-Male. I should also mention that our heroine is not some weak woman either! PERFECT!!!

So, this book picks right up where the last one left off, but from Jay's perspective. He has just put a very sad Lily on the plane.  Now he wants revenge. He wants the Marker officially gone! He wants him six feet under. He wants a life with Lily that he has never dreamed about before. But he has no clue how to walk away from her.......

On one hand, he wants to keep her close. He wants to love her and bury himself (physically and emotionally) in her. He wants to go home to her smart mouth every night. He wants her forever!

But how can he keep her close knowing that he may die. That the one person he is unsure that he can defeat is coming for him. Coming to kill him. Both of his parents have already been collateral damage and now he wants to save Lily from that fate. He is no longer capable of walking away. He can't just give up his revenge for the person he loves.....

2.0 out of 5 stars Becoming Noah Baxter - Disappointing February 10, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I believe most of us were anxious for Marked Part II: Becoming Noah Baxter and how it would end for Lily and Jay/Noah, at least I was. This book gives you that answer and it is nice to know how it ends but it certainly did not live up to Book I. For me, this book was just barely fair. I had such high hopes for Book II after completing Book I but it fell flat for me.

This book begins with Jay sending Lily home for her own safety which is where Book I left off. The excitement factor that drove Book 1 was lacking in Book II. I was glad to know they ended up together but, I do have to mention that I struggled with the transformation of Jay to Noah. It was too much of a jump for me, softened him into putty, but that is only my opinion. It drastically changed my view of him and not for the better.

There were several troubling issues for me. 1. Did not like the showdown at all. So anticlimactic. 2. When Jay/Noah decides on a career, what he will do with his life married to Lily, he makes the decision, draws out the money, puts his plan into action, and decides on a business partner...all while she is asleep and does not bother to ask her opinion on any of it. Not one single word until it was a done deal. Of course all of this happened in the matter of 6 or 8 hours while she slept and he couldn't. He acts shocked when after he tells her about his racetrack decision that she tells him she wants to be a partner. For crying out loud, it is her life, too. How selfish was that!! Of course we all know Lily and she goes along with anything and everything he mentions. She needs a spine. After that incident I began to dislike him. Yes, he was young and inexperienced but...

3.0 out of 5 stars ok finish, but not as good as the first book February 10, 2014
By Kris
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
In the second book we get a look at both Jay's and Lily's POV, though most of it is in Lily's. Jay is trying to finish his work with Ben in order to return to Lily but it takes longer then both wanted. Lily is obviously not one to wait so she creates friction between Jay and his workers because Jay puts Lily first and the people from his past are not used to seeing him like that.

What made the first book so interesting was lacking in this book. There wasn't a whole lot of action or twists. Mainly it was just talking and waiting. The action is right at the beginning and then towards the end, while the first book had tension for a good third of the book.

The relationship between Jay and Lily didn't really change or develop in this book, but they were able to get their happy ending so it wasn't completely a disappointment.

There was more information on the minor characters which I like. A lot of stories like this tend to focus only on the two main characters and makes it seem like no one else exists. We also get to see what happens to the minor characters in the epilogue so it gives the story a nice full circle ending.

overall I was disappointed with this second book. I had hoped it would have been as exciting as the first book was but it fell a little short. There was no real developing in the two main characters especially Jay. You would think there would be considering the title.

5.0 out of 5 stars 4.5-5 Fantastic, Jay Loving Stars!! February 24, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
J.M. Sevilla any book you write.. I will be reading! So any more you release, just send them my way ;)
I absolutely adored book 1 in the Marked series and was really excited when I got sent this arc.I may have jumped in joy..okay that's a lie because its just to cold for that s***, I did do a little wiggle in my chair! I know, I know ain't I bloody active girl!

I was going to read it later because this one it the last book in the series *sobs* but it just didn't work out that way.Since I am on the subject of this being the last book, can we have more? pleasseee? Ben and Arianna and Hattie and Charlie soo need their own book! *puppy dog eyes*

“I can’t imagine a life without you in it. You make life worth experiencing, worth living.”

This book starts off where book 1 left off, Lily has gone home and Jay is trying to lure the marker out. It's kill or be killed. He wants her safe and away from everything as there may be a chance that he doesn't make it.They are separated and in this time you see change, their characters grow and become better versions of themselves. Lily who was at first seen as a meek and somewhat shy becomes more confident and brave.jay on the other hand wants to change, to become a better person for Lily.Nothing is that simple and as the story continues there are twists and excitement, intense scenes and pages you just can't stop turning.I was pulled in right from the start and couldn't stop reading until I had finished it.I tried to slow down, I just didn't want it to end but them my curiosity got the best of me.

“I’m afraid that somehow I’m cursed, and if the universe hears me something will happen and you’ll be taken away from me again.
