5.0 out of 5 stars wow! That's cinnamon! June 22, 2004
By A Customer
This tea is extraordinary! I first tasted it in the late 1970's while visiting Seattle -- it's a taste one can't forget. The cinnamon spice flavors of this tea are strong - but enjoyable. And it tastes sweet without sugar -- an added bonus. I have a special pot for brewing this as iced tea since the cinnamon oil really penetrates most plastic pitchers. Definitely a hit for summer iced tea in our Colorado home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Takes no prisoners January 26, 2005

I am not a tea fan. Black, green, white, red, whatever. It tastes like wet leaves to me. If I'm feeling sick, I will sometimes drink a mint tisane, no tea just mint. But this stuff is great. The contents are a professional secret, but there's definitely clove and cinnamon and citrus peel involved. Take care with handling and storing, because the oils are strong and penetrating, but if you want something to kick you into action on a rainy day, or to clear your sinuses when you're feeling stuffy then this is the one.

4.0 out of 5 stars A strange mix of relaxing and invigorating. August 15, 2005
The scent of this tea brewing is a real wake-me-up. Cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and orange peel are some of the very redolant flavors. The cinnamon is so strong that it gives a slight burning feeling in the mouth--one of my favorite things about this tea. I'm not a huge tea drinker, but I really enjoy this in winter. It's great for mulling things as well--apples, pears, and wine. My only complaint is that it is not 100% reliant on chopped ingredients and there are some flavors added. But it's still incredibly good and nice for a thoughtful morning or evening. Makes me miss Seattle, WA and Pike Place Market!

5.0 out of 5 stars Market Spice On-Line? GOD SEND! January 13, 2006
I am a Seattle native who constantly finds herself living either abroad or on the 'other' coast.

As an avid tea drinker I frequently find myself with other epicureans and always try to convince them that Market Spice tea is the greatest tea blend EVER!!

Now that I can buy Market Spice on Amazon, I can finally prove it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Touch of Heaven! February 8, 2007
This tea always brings me back home. As a former Seattle resident I REALLY missed this tea when I moved back East, and the amount I could bring back from my occasional visits was just never enough. I'm thrilled that I can now order this tea and enjoy it whenever I want to. That rush when you open the package and are overwhelmed by the cinnamon and orange smells is incredible and it goes everywhere. Given the recent weather this tea is perfect for curling up in front of the fireplace and relaxing. After bringing some to work a good bit of my office is now addicted as well, but after a couple of giveaways I've made them order there own! I've also developed a liquer recipe for it, adapted from a Kahlua recipe, and of all the liquers I make it is hands-down the favorite amongst my friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for cool/cold mornings! January 18, 2007
MarketSpice tea is a great, aromatic blend of teas and spices that delivers a rich, full flavor. Unlike any other spice tea I have tried. This tea is great to sip on a brisk winter morning. Be sure to keep the unused tea bags in a tightly sealed container as some of the aromatic oils with evaporate off if left open to the air.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tea January 15, 2007
This tea is great with a little sugar or honey. It is the kind of tea to have on a cold snowy winter day. Make a cup, sit back wrapped in an afgan, and let your mind wander as you sip this orange spice tasting tea. The longer you leave the tea bag in the hot water, the better.

Grandma Sharon from Illinois farm country.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of cinnamon and clove oil January 9, 2008
By ks
I love Market Spice tea. I usually get decaffeinated because the regular has interestingly a fair amount of caffeine and if you drink it a lot throughout the day you start to notice the jitters. This tea, if drank a lot, makes your teeth a little stained. It has a lot of cinnamon oil in it, which makes your tongue sort of numb when you drink it. It is delicious. I add a little sweet 'n' low and it tastes like dessert and keeps me from snacking on more caloric things in the evening. NOTE: Keep it in the 'fridge because all the clove and cinnamon oils, etc. can go rancid, as any oils can. A tea store in Portland carries it in bulk but they keep it in a 'fridge so you have to ask for it special as it's not kept on a shelf. I kept even the tea bags (not loose tea) in the 'fridge at all times and *still* the oils in the tea turn rancid. You'll quickly notice it when you brew a cup and it tastes horrible. So, this tea does indeed have a shelf life.

3.0 out of 5 stars Tastes Great!
I love the MarketSpice tea taste, but I think $12.00 for 24 teabags is a little high. I am debating on whether or not to buy more.
