Gorgeous Model,
By Photo Fan (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Marketa (English and German Edition) (Hardcover)
Beautiful Czech model worthy of an entire book devoted to her pictures. Many of the pictures were quite stylish, but many others have a "men's magazine" feel to them that do not do the model justice. On balance, a worthwhile acquisition if you are a fan of Marketa Belonoha.

solid collection of nude photos,

This review is from: Marketa (English and German Edition) (Hardcover)
Marketa is one of those eastern European models that seems to show up often in current collections. Natural Beauty comes to mind. Hegre has captured her beauty and playfullness in these photos, which have good lighting and composure. One down side for me was they got to be too much of the same basic photo, and a little too posed at times. Not a bad thing with this sort of model, just repetitious.Over all a good study of the model and I would recommend it to others.

Petter Hegre is a great photographer, I have two of his works and they are both fantastic. But, Marketa is way off the ten scale as far as beautiful women go! A beautiful model and a great photographer made this a standard by which all will be judges. It is all in color, I would have liked to have seen some black & white images though. Enjoy!

A Beautiful Tribute to a Modeling Superstar,
This review is from: Marketa (English and German Edition) (Hardcover)
If there is a superstar in world of glamour and art modeling, then it is most certainly Markéta Blonohá. Hailing from the Czech Republic, she has posed for countless photographers and has been the visual centerpiece for numerous website's, books, and magazines throughout her modeling career. She is not only beautiful beyond words, she is one of those rare and wonderful creatures who literally light the page on fire. Calling her photogenic is like calling the the Amazon River a flowing body of water.Petter Hegre has made a name for himself in crafting huge bodies of work around a single subject (see his books "Luba" and "My Wife") and if anyone was up to the task of capturing the magical qualities of Markéta it was certainly him. Both Petter and Markéta have succeeded in crafting a flawless collection of nudes here. Petter's photography is impeccable and his level of creativity and style is paramount. Every picture is composed perfectly and rendered in thrilling, vibrant color, In fact, the only flaw in this massive body of work, is that it's almost too perfect - there is little sense of spontaneity. Nothing seems accidental. But even with this shortcoming, if it could be called that, "Markéta" is 127 pages of pure bliss that none of her fans will want to miss.

It is hard to find fault with with the photos in this book. Marketa is a very beautiful European model and Hegre is a outstanding photographer. How can you go wrong with a combination like this?

A book you must have!,

This book is wonderful. It's a book you won't find tedious even though the same girl appears on all of the photographs. You see her in various places and situations, for the most part with all of her clothes off, but with a beautiful smile on her mouth. You may have seen Hegre's photos on the internet on [...], and they are something to look at. But still, having a collection of Hegre's photos of Marketa in a book which you are holding in your own hands is something completely different. So, if I am to be concise (and a bit mathematical :) : Gorgeous model + one of the greatest contemporary photographers = A book you must have!

My fairy comes to me at this book. It's interesting, that actor of cheap soft-porno movies makes it to world known model. But this book is really only about art and wonderful woman beauty.

Marketa is the most astonishing woman I've ever seen. Surely seeing her would mean one of two things.... I've died and am in fact seeing a celestial being or I'm about to go blind and this will be my last vision. either would be fine as Petter Hegre has captured the most naturally beautiful woman in the most tasteful and fun ways.

Hegre has a knack for making the most of a lovely young model, and Markéta ranks high in that category. These pictures show a gorgeous woman happy and playful sharing her attractiveness with the camera. Somehow, she even seems to reach through the lens and address the book's reader directly.Although lingerie occasionally adorns Markéta, most of the imagery shows Markéta wearing only herself. Whether indoors or out, in studio or boudoir, wet or wild, she wears it well. One slightly unusual feature of this charming young lady kept attracting my attention: she's an all-over blonde, so her one patch of body hair doesn't contrast against her uniform tan very much at all. Still, it clothes her almost as well as a darker bush would. As a result some pictures almost seem to have had genital details airbrushed out. That hasn't happened, of course, it's just her natural coverage at work, but it presents an ongoing surprise throughout this collection. This, like other of Hegre's collections, offers a simple tribute to physical beauty. That's easy to like, but misses opportunities for deeper exploration of mood, composition, or erotic potential. These photos are lovely, but that's all - just lovely. -- wiredweird

I usually like some of Petter's pictures but in this book the model looks trashy in every picture.
