Great book! And the right length too! Definitely one of those marketing books that you will want to go back to and re-read your highlights to internalize. The concepts Terri conveys on how to break out of the marketing funk we all tend to fall into is a great refresher for seasoned marketing professionals and a great teacher for new marketers.
Not only is this book a must read, but you should try and catch Terri's "Maverick Marketing" presentation, which truly brings her concepts to life. I attended her presentation at this year's Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Annual Conference and would rate it the most entertaining and educational marketing session I attended.

No one cares about your boring business & so fix it!,
By Lisa Daniels "Business Owner" (Mpls, MN) - See all my reviews

The author is right! People don't care about you...they care about themselves, and this author tells it like it is, with real world examples and a down-to-earth voice. I don't know how you can read this book and NOT change about a bazillion things about the way you're doing business and the way you look at marketing. Not to mention the way you market your products or services. I read it in about an hour, and re-read it every other week or so.

This is a must read for anyone who's done marketing or received a "you've got to be kidding" look from their marketing person before. The author summarizes these common marketing mistakes with insight and humor, but best of all she says how to overcome them in simple, easy to digest language. It's a great leave-behind if you're in the marketing business. I found it refreshing and insightful. A very good read.

This book helped me realize the importance of "emotional involvement" in the promotional materials I use for my business. That's something I hadn't considered before reading this book. When I revised my materials and implemented the suggestions in this book, I begain to receive better results from my marketing materials.

Now I understand! I really care about my business, but that doesn't mean any one else does. And thanks to Terri, now I can start turning that around. This all about helping my clients "get it" and doing so in a fun, exciting way. Terri is is the real goods.
