Guaranteed Results!,

This review is from: Marketing from the Trenches: Your Guide to Retail Success (Paperback)
I rolled out Rudy's program after attending his seminar (prior to his published book), and it has become instrumental to the daily success of our marketing efforts. Increasing interaction with customers and establishing business partnerships in our trade areas have been two of the most effective strategies we've applied to enhance our presence. The results are clear and measurable: increased traffic and sales. Marketing from the Trenches is a smart, low-cost method that will steer your business in the rigth direction and deliver extraordinary results.

For The Student That Is Ready, The Teacher Has Appeared,

This review is from: Marketing from the Trenches: Your Guide to Retail Success (Paperback)
The true measure of value is not whether something is worth what you paid for it. What you bought must somehow be worth more than what you paid for it. No one wants to come out "even." Why bother? You're back where you started.Since releasing my own book, Question Of The Day - Where Truth Is The Dare, I have developed more of a keen eye for what qualifies as "value" in the publishing marketplace. Rudy's book sometimes reads as a book to me, though it often reads as a manual. That is because it is a book about doing, not about accumulating ideas. As a person who has spent considerable time working in the restaurant business, I can tell you that this book is packed with value. The things I recall being done properly, as well as the things that could easily have been done better and the things that went undone, became clearer in my memory as I juxtaposed Rudy's book with my own experience. This is the book you want to lay out on a counter top and keep propped open through the day; the dog-eared book with every fourth page or so winding up coffee stained. Here, essential retail knowledge is uniquely interwoven with the things they don't teach you; the things that Rudy learned hands-on over most of his life. Will you learn in time? Just how long might that be? Will it be too late? I feel it necessary to counter the recent negative comments of an Amazon reviewer. This book is about action, and reading it is a tiny fraction of what is involved. Success is action first, then correction, then action again. Repeat. In stating that he didn't remember things from the book a few weeks after reading it, the reviewer exposes the fact that he didn't actually do anything. Anyone who has implemented Rudy's strategies can immediately tell you the principles that are involved. This is the fault in extending fairness in forums: even the unqualified have both a voice and enough leverage to do damage. Elections suffer similarly. As Robert Kiyosaki says, if you don't have a strong enough "why" for doing things, you will always seek out an easier way. Rationalizing inaction is a way that people often choose, rather than dealing with the fact that they need to do serious work. If you are not yet ready to take action and make positive changes, I think it's fair to take responsibility for this and prepare to either redouble your efforts or bail out, rather than drag down the good work of a good man. This book is for people who are ready for an essential tool, as part of a plan of action. Success is yours if you will do your part.

A Must Read for Every Retail and Food Establishment,
By Jamie L. Saloff "author of Transformational H... (Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Marketing from the Trenches: Your Guide to Retail Success (Paperback)
Ever since reading Marketing from the Trenches, I cannot enter a retail or food establishment without checking to see if they follow Waldner's formula for success. I see now why I return again and again to some establishments, while avoiding others at all costs after only one visit. This can be the death nail to a shop without ever knowing why. The book is extremely easy to read and understand. Even the busiest shop owner has time to read this fast-paced book. In fact, it should be required reading. If you own a retail or food establishment, make sure to purchase a copy of Marketing from the Trenches and to FOLLOW it's simple guides. You will be rewarded with continued sales and success.

This review is from: Marketing from the Trenches: Your Guide to Retail Success (Paperback)
I am a recording artist/songwriter, who has released a solo debut CD/DVD of my own, traveled around the world performing with famous celebrities, and I compose music for TV shows such as "The Sopranos", "Mad About You", "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and many other shows. This should be a "must read" for anyone wanting to have a successful business. After reading this book, Mr. Waldner has provided lots of fresh ideas to use in marketing my products which I am sure will create many more successful opportunities in the very near future. Thank you, Mr. Waldner!

The basic principles and ideals discussed in Mr. Waldner's book are pure marketing genuis and ring true of the first notion of being successful and that is to make a connection and build trust with people. Mr. Waldner serves up this invaluable truth with lighthearted stories of his personal life as well as years of professional experience. After applying the three "P's" to my own business strategy I found that sales of my record increased 200%!!!"Marketing from the Trenches" is a must read for anyone who plans on being successful in any business.

A plus for Rudy Waldner!,
This review is from: Marketing from the Trenches: Your Guide to Retail Success (Kindle Edition)
Rudy Waldner's "Marketing From the Trenches" is not a quick read. When I first picked it up, I fully expected to blow through it in about half an hour. After the first 5 minutes, I realized that I was going to be here for awhile. This little gem is aptly named; there are a lot of books out there that will show you how to create a slick online image for your business based on hyperbole and hot air. What Rudy offers are solid, basic strategies that work immediately, with an emphasis on face to face interactions and customer service. If you prefer good home cooking to overpriced takeout, this book is for you. "Marketing from the Trenches" will benefit the brand new business owner and the seasoned veteran in equal measure. The techniques Rudy suggests will work for a Fortune 500 or a two-person Mom and Pop, and you can use them without ev en leaving the office. The book has a " whoa, why didn"t I think of that" kick to it from the very beginning. Buy this book and be prepared to learn something, no matter how long you"ve been in business or how big you are. Rudy has some pleasant surprises for you!

Having no marketing background I followed this book with ease. Once I picked this book up I didn't put it down until the very end. It's nice to see an approach to marketing that doesn't require shoving ads down everyone throats and that brings community closer together. I recommend this book to everyone.

This review is from: Marketing from the Trenches: Your Guide to Retail Success (Paperback)
Since implementing your recommendations and the principles detailed in your book,Marketing from the Trenches, the improvement in our business has been dramatic. Our loan transaction volume has increased 90% for the first thirty-eight days since implementation as compared to the thirty-eight days prior to implementation. Our loan fees have increased by 128%, and new loan customers acquired have increased 867% for the same comparable period. Wow! Since there are only 24 hours in the day, we haven't implemented ALL of your recommendations yet. We are chipping away at our list, and expect more improvement as we complete the rollout. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for helping us transform our business. You're the greatest! Dave Burns 24 Hour Check Cashing 8437 Wornall Road Kansas City, MO (816) 333-6800 |
