I bought this book because I was looking for recipes using Splenda, and were low in sugar, fat and calories as my husband is a newly diagnosed diabetic. I tried the Banana Muffins recipe first, fully expecting them to taste like "diet food." Wow! Was I ever surprised! I liked the muffins so much, I made them for friends and family who loved them so much they begged me to make more. My husband raved about the Banana Muffins to his doctor who promptly rushed out to buy the book for himself! The books gives analysis per serving info (the main reason I initially bought the book) and the recipes are incredibly easy to follow and taste yummy. We both have hope because of this book that we can eat a variety of healthy, tasty food. This cookbook is the only one I have in my kitchen now. God Bless Marlene Koch for this wonderful book!

This is a great cookbook and I've been pleased with the recipes I've tried so far. The desserts are excellent and we've had a lot of fun trying them out. Best of all, they are guilt-free! I watch my calorie count every day and many of the desserts are only 100-200 calories. I am looking forward to trying out several of the mixed drink recipes, too. This is a cookbook that covers all types of foods from appetizers to desserts and is a great way to eat healthier. I love that the nutritional information is listed for each recipes, as well as helpful notes for many of them. I wish there were pictures instead of illustrations, but other than that, it's a great addition to my cookbook collection.

I checked this book out of the library first and just had to buy it! There are so many great recipes that my family love. I love it because it takes some traditional recipes and modifies it to be healthy and they are better than the traditional ones. I also love the comments on each page about little facts and why something is used in the recipe. Great recipe book, in fact I have given 2 away as gifts.

This is a great resource for those of us who must restrict carbohydrates.

The best recipes are those for main dishes, salads and vegetables - dishes you would otherwise just skip, such as sweet and sour red cabbage. I haven't been as impressed with the baked things, and discovered that without the sugar, brownies molded quickly. Biscotti were successful, but very peculiar looking. I'm still exploring the possibilities.

I purchased this book a short time ago and love it. I was delighted that the lemon blueberry bread was as good as it was. I suppose, never baking with Splenda, surprised me. Friends who tasted the bread asked for the recipe. I have many tagged for trying.

But I would highly recommend it.

I use this cook book often. Easy to read & understand, more than just desserts and helpful hints to cooking healthier! Would be better if colored photos were included, but still a great resource!

I've used the book every week since buying & have lost weight. The recipes are pure genius, combining replaced/decreased sugar with healthy eating principles such as low fat, low sodium. The coffee cake recipes alone are worth the book price and the recipes are adaptable; I added blueberries to the Simple Cinnamon Coffee cake recipe and got rave reviews.
Everything I've made from this book tastes great & like the real thing, not like diet food at all.
Thank you, Marlene Koch, for this 5 * book.

I have type 2 diabetes and take insulin 5 times a day so I really have to watch what I eat. I'm always looking ways to cut my sugar intake. This book is just great for helping out with that. There are so many great recipes and beside that, Marlene Koch gives a lot of very helpful tips, not only on cutting sugar, but fat and carbs as well. Worth every penny and highly recommend this recipe book for everyone, not only diabetics.

This is the best cookbook ever!!! Every recipe that I have tried is exceptionally tasty. Every recipe has weight watcher points and nutritional info for diabetics so that my husband and myself can both eat the same meal and meet our diet requirements. Enjoy.
