I hiked last year on the AT with an ultra light quilt (15 degree rated) and froze while wearing all my clothes. Earlier this year I took this sleeping bag to the Guadalupe Mountains. Temp got down to 26 and wind gusts 30-40 all night. Spent four nights there with lite snow one night. Got up one night to heed the call and it was so cold I lost my breath. Back in the bag it got so warm I had to take clothes off. Guess which one is going to the AT with me this year.
