5 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Javan W. Rasnake on October 9, 2013
Size Name: Long-Right Verified Purchase
I can't say enough good things about this sleeping bag. I was VERY pleasantly surprised my first night out in this. I've spent about five total nights out with this, ranging from about 35-50 degrees each night. It is very comfortable, and was more than I needed on some of those nights. So I think it's comfort rating of 30 degrees for men is just about right.

It is filled with genuine down, as I can attest because a little pokes out of the bag every now and then (although this is unavoidable with down sleeping bags, so it's not really a negative). The big positive is it's weight and pack size vs. it's good comfort rating, which makes it a reasonable backpacking sleeping bag. Some reviewers have said uncompressed it is about the size of a football-- that's a little hopeful. With mine at least, it's more like the size of a pretty hefty loaf of bread. If you compress it, it will get a little smaller.

I am 6'3 and 210 lbs and felt the cut was quite generous for a mummy bag. That said, I do own the "long" model, so I'd recommend that for tall guys like me. I don't really like mummy bags at all, but realize they're a compromise for a backpacking bag, so I deal. But this one is fairly roomy for me and I don't feel too constricted.

All in all, it's a good bag and I'm very satisfied with the price vs. performance value I've gotten out of it. It's so good, that when it comes time for another sleeping bag or really a need for any other gear, I'll probably check out Marmot kit just because I've been so impressed by this bag. If they rest of their kit is this good at this value, I might be buying more in the future.
