Hello,
I used this bag for a 4-month outdoor semester, sleeping in this bag for roughly 80% of the nights. My semester was in the Fall of 2012 in the mountains of NC around the AT. This bag performed very well for the variety of conditions we expeirenced.

The temperature never got below 30-so I can't exactly comment on it's comfort level vs it's rated. However, I can say that it kept me warm even when I was soaking wet and sleeping in a puddle of water in the 40s.

The bag comes in a very useful stuff/compression sack, which lets you really sinch it down and pack it up tight. After 4 months though, the seams look like they're pretty well stretched, and I don't think it was designed to be sinched down as much as I did- so that's a thing to note.

Also, the zippers initially were very stiff. It includes both a zipper by the head and by the feet, which was very useful.

The mummy-head cover has an elastic pull-tab so you can make it right around your face.

Overall very satisfied! Would definitly recommend-although it is more expensive than ones you can buy at walmart-the increased quality of the marmot brand I think is worth the cost.

*****

There are alot of people who claim you'll be warmer in a sleeping bag if you're inside of it naked. This is rediculous. Wear more clothes and you'll be warmer. Stuff the empty space inside the bag with your extra clothes and you'll be warmer.

At night sometimes my feet got cold-I stuffed my rain layer down to cover my feet, and they were no longer cold. Really simple.

Another practical tip- if you're hiking all day and you want to put on dry socks in the morning- sleep with your socks in the sleeping bag. Your body heat will dry the socks over night. I would lay my socks accross my abdomen or my sides as I slept. It really does work!

Used this during the spring months at Joshua Tree desert and kept me warm at night. Never got cold and never got to hot. Though I did use it around winter time where there was slight snow in Angeles National Forest and I got pretty cold with a sleeping pad.. although that is my fault because it was somewhere in the 20's. Zipper tends to get stuck at times but not enough to make it an issue. Overall this bag is perfect for 3 seasons.

For a 30-deg and above temp bag, you shouldn't expect the extreme. For me, this was a deployment purchase for indoor use; it compressed well (for the trip over) and was fairly light (under 3 lbs). A month in and I'm very happy. It warms quickly, breathes well, and is comfortable with plenty of room (I'm 5'8" w/ 44" chest). The zipper does get snagged often, but frees with ease. Having a right side 1/4 length zipper is nice too; I haven't really used the internal pocket, but I'm sure it will come in handy. For the price & included features, I highly recommend this bag for moderate weather or indoor use!

Bought this for my wife as her weekend three season backpacking bag. It compresses down nicely and she had no trouble getting all her gear into a 50 L pack. Temperatures got down into the 30s on our first trip, and she stayed warm and comfy, with this and a sleeping pad.

Great quality for a great price. Mine came with a matching compression sack. Exactly what I expected from a bag in this price range. Definitely not as compressible or lightweight as my $450 bag but would still recommend to anyone looking for a good starter bag.
