I have purchased other organic coffee from Amazon a few times before and I was pleased with the quality and price of the coffee. But this time is different. This coffee had a great price from promotion. It turned out that the coffee was old. The date on the package is March 29, 2008. I received the coffee on January 31, 2008. Yes,I realized this is an old coffee with two month shelf life. The taste of the coffe is okay (not great at all) and the worst part is the aroma. Very weak. I think this is due to the freshness of the coffee. I wonder if I could have returne the coffee afer opening the package.
I want Amazon to gurantee the freshness of the product that it sells. If this coffee is fresh, it may be a good coffee. Who knows?

I am not to happy with this coffee it das not have much flavor or aroma. I achieved better taste in french press but my gavorite is still 1kg bag of italien lavazza. It will make nice foam in capucino machine. But for value buyers it is good trifty choice

I am not a coffee snob.I like coffee with 2 sugars. And more often these days with just a splash of whiskey on Sunday mornings. I am 60 yrs old and remember when coffee was a good cup of Joe and 25 cents a cup. I used to supervise retail operations in the Texas Union @ University of Texas. One of my duties was supervising the Coffee Shop next to the Cactus Cafe This was in the late nineties and there was pressure to compete with the Starbucks of the world. In searching for coffees that were both politically correct for the University and a great taste we discovered Marques de Paiva. My favorite for my table at home is the Medium Roast Blend. For the dollar value/taste ratio there are none better in my view.
