Craig investigates the history of divorce and remarriage theology, and talks about the current divorce crisis of today. He argues that our "contract" perspective on marriage (if you don't fulfill your part of the bargain, I can leave) is in opposition to God's model of covenant (no matter what you do, I'm committed for life).

I believe marrage is so much more than we in America have grown to think it is. Craig explaines in this book 'what marriage is and what it is not, from God's perspective." Also,some very sound teaching on divorce and remarriage from God's point of view. Should be must reading for all who are planning marriage, for those who are currently married and for those who are divorced.

Craig Hill is a pastor who has many years experience in counseling couples. After re-marrying many people who had experienced divorce, he decided to turn to the bible for answers.
In his book he uncovers some ancient truths that cut across western social norms. God's word, the bible, has the blue print for all the things that we need for life Craig believes.
Advocating for a bigger picture of life and a self sacrifical attitude, Craig encourages us to allow the life of God to transform us and make us new in our marriages which also affects every other relationship. The selfish attitude stands in opposition to God's attitude of Self sacrifice and Craig Hill spells out a warning that the he says we need to heed.
A very challenging and provocative book.
