Gr 9 Up-A collection of 16 articles from newspapers and magazines, and excerpts from books that offer contrasting views on such topics as the purpose of marriage, the impact of same-sex marriage on society, and the effect of same-sex marriage on children, as well as the legal and religious issues. The pieces are relatively brief, but some are dense and dry. The book concludes with a directory of related organizations and a thorough index. Because these articles were written for adults, the material is challenging and the small, single-spaced print intimidating. This is not the first source to consult, but it will be useful in high schools for students who need in-depth material.
