So many couples struggle for years feeling helpless and alone. This book is Jimmy and Karen's testimony of how God intervened in their own marriage. It includes topics such as his needs and her needs, and it will revolutionize the way you think and interact with one another.

This book is great for hurting or happy couples. It reminds us all that the most important foundation to any relationship begins with God. Jimmy and Karen also have a television program and their website if full of useful articles for couples.

I recommend this book to everyone I know!

The book was recommended by world re-nowned Minister A. Dabney, a prolific counselor of one of the largest ministries in the Midwest. Our marriage of twenty-seven years was in jeopardy and the exercises from this wonderful book, "Marriage on the Rock," was used. Our marriage was revived and strengthen, 1st all glory belongs to God. If you want to save your marriage pray to God for divine direction and get this book.

My wife and I review materials for couples, and our son steered us to Jimmy and Karen Evans' book, workbork, and Leader's Guide...all of which we got on Amazon, plue the DVD's. That should tell the reader how much we liked the series.

One of the most valuable qualities that this material has is the confessional nature of Jimmy Evans. He can speak effectively to the male, and all the while, keep the females on board with his frank admiration of Karen, who has seen through him, and yet loves him still.

Evans is not a 'girlie man'...he seems to be genuine, arrogant, and vain, but he knows it and points out the fallacies of the male point of view. Women can gain tremendous insight into the strong and shallow impulses of men, while men gain an idea about how to really connect with their wife...and daughter...and mother...and boss. My wife and I shared a little about this work to some young married people, and they were impressed. I am too.

For all those who desire to have the marriage they've always dreamed of......this book is straight forward, compassionate (because we all fall short in this relationship) and just want our society needs.

Doing this study and using the DVD series we have witnessed remarkable positive changes in marriages (includiong our own of 41 yrs). New hope, trust, intimacy, respect, communication, vision and goals for their marriages. Following God's plan for marriage disables our sin nature and it also causes both spouses to reach their fullest potential.

Marriage on the Rock is a wonderful resource for couples that are just starting out, or have been married for years. Jimmy and Karen Evans have found a way to teach everyone how to have a happy, fruitful marriage, the way God intended it to be. Jimmy's sense of humor, coupled with his amazing ability to convey a clear, concise message, makes this a "marriage manual" that no couple should be without. My husband and I credit the Marriage on the Rock series for helping us learn to work with each other to make our marriage the best it can be. This is also a wonderful resource for couples small groups.

This is an excellent book for helping to realign your marriage (regardless of the number of years married) to God's plan for marriage. It has valuable advice for both women and men, as well as insight for each of you to understand the other's form of thinking. I highly recommend it.

Too many of these type of books are really just an article's worth of idea stretched out for 200 pages. They are usually heavy on anecdotes and light on real help. This book has some interesting teaching on the Biblical roles for marriage and how understanding and filling those roles leads to harmony in a relationship. This is the second-best book I've read about marriage that isn't dealing with a single problem like infidelity or such; the best one is The DNA of Relationships by Gary Smalley. That book has real practical insight on resolving conflict in marriage- and, perhaps more importantly, preventing conflicts rather than just avoiding them.

This is a very good book! I would highly recommend this to all couples about to get married or married and dealing with some issues. God sent book.

This is used as a tool for those that are going through pre-marriage counseling although it is excellent for those who have been married for a number of years as well. It is not only interesting it also puts a lot into perspective for those considering marriage everything from financial to the usual quirks of being a man or a woman and bringing that relationship together. It is written by a husband and wife who have done counseling and retreats with a number of couples. It is even interesting for those that don't generally enjoy books outside of fiction.

Our pastor (and pre-marital counselor) recommended that we read this book before my wife and I got married. I read about 8-10 different marriage / relationship books before we got married, and this one is the one my wife and I found the most solid and helpful. I ended up purchasing a copy for a good friend who is getting married this year in hopes it would be a helpful foundation for their strong marriage.
