5.0 out of 5 stars Good Album But The Older Albums Are Better.
It's a good CD, But I think that his older LPs are better (late 80's and early to middle 90's speaking). Because back then he
and Ant Banks were making beats that was full of funk and bass
now he is working with people like Lil' Jon on which I think
isn't right for him. And another thing, after 25 years he is out
of know where showing golddiggers,...

What happened to songs like "Ain't Nothing But A Word" &
"All My B****** Are Gone" instead of songs like
"California Girls" & "Female Players"? I hope you are not getting soft on me, $hort. I think the only way to attract your old fans again and to sell like you use to, is to go your old style. FAST!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dont sleep...BUY this album!!!!!!, January 2, 2004

I've been a Too Short fan for the longest but its this album where I feel he stepped up his game. Check out BURN RUBBER, track 6 on the album produced by Lil'Jon...thats worth the entire album. Took it back to the old school hip hop days.

4.0 out of 5 stars Married To The Game, October 25, 2004
This review is from: Married to the Game (Audio CD)
This was a very good, but personnally I liked Life Is...Too Short better

1.Choosin' ft. Jazze Pha & Jagged Edge-4.5/5-Nice Jazze Pha beat, but the biggest problem with this song was the Jagged Edge verse, because i definately preffer them on hooks
2.What She Gonna Do?-5/5-One of my favorite songs on the album, love the beat and short's verses are great
3.That's How It Goes Down ft. Oobie-3.5/5-Good song, but the rapping isnt great on this one
4.You Can't F*ck Wit Us ft.NORE & Petey Pablo-5/5-One of the best songs on the album, has a great crunk feel, and 3 great MCs
5.Shake That Monkey ft.Lil Jon-5/5-The reason i bought the CD, not a traditional Lil Jon beat, but great anyways
6.Burn Rubber-5/5-Another "non-crunk" Lil Jon production, but this is probably the best track lyrically
7.Hey Let's Go Ft.Cutty Cartel & Devin The Dude-4/5-Very good song
8.Pimpandho.com-4.5/5-Too Short raps about his favorite subject :-D, nice beat too
9.Hobo Hoeing-4/5-Annoying chorus, but a nice beat and short's good on this one
10.Get It-5/5-Another one of my favorite songs on the CD, maybe my favorite beat on the album and Too Short drops really hot verses
11.Married To The Game-4/5-More nice production, and Short still doesn't disapoint
12.California Girls-3/5-Good song, but i don't like short's slower songs too much
13.What's A Pimp?-3/5-Another slower song
14.Don't Act Like That-4/5-Short's very good lyrically on this one
15.Short Short-3.5/5-Pretty annoying beat but short makes it still a good song
This CD is definately reccomended for any West Coast and/or Bay Area fans, and any other rap fans in general, but its not a classic like Life Is...

5.0 out of 5 stars Too $hort- "TOO" Pimp... Again for all you HATERS!!!, November 13, 2003
By
This review is from: Married to the Game (Audio CD)
I've read time and time again all the customer reviews for the last 3 or 4 Too $heezy CD's and it makes me SICK! All you MF'n HATERS out there hatin' on $hort Dog!!?? How his recent albums are 1 or 2 stars??!! For all the Haters out there dissin' $hort Dog's recent work. "Quit Hatin!"(What's My Favorite Word?) You're not true $hort fans!!! You're not true rap fans! Any album by Too $hort or any song that has $hort is The Sh*t! Most rappers guest star $hort to make their jams better! This goes out to all the Ja Rule, Jay Z, DMX, P*SS Diddy/Bad Boy, Cash Money fans. You give props to all these wannabes??!! These new rappers or anybody else would'nt be here without $hort Dog!! Lil Jon & The East-Side Boyz are big now Who gave them their brake? Who introduced them to the game? And they're not the only ones to give credit to $hort Dog I'll give you Haters 3 guess' but you only need one.--- $HORT He's the OG Godfather of Pimpism. It makes me sick to see the MTV, Source, Bet awards shows w/out $hort. Well... he's "Too" good to have his videos on these "So-Called" music channels and "Too" good for all you "So-Called Fans. I would've wrote more to all the Pimp/Player Haters, but there's a 1000 word limit. email me if you agree. ...Oh, about this album, if you're a true Player, buy it!!! It's the Sh*t Once again.

1.0 out of 5 stars is this a Too Short CD??, December 19, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Married to the Game (Audio CD)
Too $hort used to rap about all the sucker MC's in the world trying to make money with their fake raps. So why is he rapping along with them on like every track on this CD? So what are you saying Todd? You don't have the time/effort/talent anymore to rap through a whole track on your own?

You may think I'm hating on Short Dawg, but that just isn't true. In my car CD player right now you'll find a "Too $hort's greatest hits" disc that I made. Guess what? Not one song past album number 10 is on there. Something has changed. First, the beats just aren't funky anymore. Listen to the old school tracks up thorugh Gettin' It. Note the funky beats with the funky bass. Now pop in album #11 through whatever number we're on now. Notice a big difference? Second, the lyrics just aren't creative as they used to be. It's all the same thing over and over. Finally, as I said before, too many guest sucker MC wannabe rappers!!

Listening to this album almost makes me want to cry. It's like watching Michael Jordan play for the wizards. Too $hort is a legend, a true OG of rap, but he just doesn't have it anymore for whatever reason. NOTE TO TODD: If you are going to continue to put out albums then stay true to the game. You'll make more money that way, and your true fans won't have to run to the toilet to vomit.

if you're over 25 and grew up listening to short dog you might not like this too short like every other west coast artist has to work with newbies just to cash in sorry but short does'nt seem right doing crunk music lil jon should have kept it for his cd sad to see a legend but this is 2004 and things change.
