Best of the Husband Hunters stories!,
This review is from: Married to a Mistress (Paperback)
Maxie must marry if she wants to inherit the 1 million dollars left to her by her aunt. Angelos Petronides has waited 3 years to have Maxie as his mistress. But Angelos soon finds out that marriage is the only way that Maxie will ever be his. Of all three of the husband hunters books this was the best one, even though as usual I felt like slapping the hero several times for his outdated thinking.

Lynne Graham at Her Best,
By A Customer
This review is from: Married to a Mistress (Hardcover)
Married to the Mistress will win the test of time as one of Lynne Graham's best. I'v been reading this novel for two years now. It suffices to say that I have read it more than once! Lynne's novels are becoming very predictable though. Angelos and Maxie are stunningly beautiful. Ofcourse Angelos has loads of money while Maxie is just getting by. Actually, Maxie is in debt. The story begins at a time when Maxie is desperate and Angelos, who has all the wrong ideas about Maxie, steps in with an offer to help her out. There are three parts to the story: One when Angelos is chasing Maxie, two when they are married but unreconciled, three when Angelos is trying to win her over. So, as readers, we have a lot to go through. However, it is an emotionally charged, witty and sexy story that makes every page come alive.

Big time Lynne Grahem's Fan,
By SASHARA JAAN (England, Town of nottingham) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Married to a Mistress (Paperback)
This is the first book in the HUSBAND HUNTERS where a godmother states in her will that her 3 Goddaughters will get 1 million if they marry and remain married for 6 months. Maxie is described as a beautiful woman and she hates the fact that she is judged by it. (hey I wouldn't complain)Even the hero is gulilty of wanting her because of her looks. I especially like her charachter because she stands up for herself and lets the world think whatever they want. Anderos thinks that she was the mistress of an old man and asks her to be his mistress. In anger Maxie asks for marriage in return for her body.... the battle begins and let me tell you its captivating to the very end.

One of my fave LG!,
This review is from: Married to a Mistress (Hardcover)
I really enjoyed this book. Basically Maxie, the heroine, is in debt (which is actually her father's debt) and she signed some loan contract which required her to be this old guy's pretend girlfriend. She's nineteen when she becomes his arm candy. Anyway, three years later, he dumps her when he's ill and wants his wife back (it's not what you think) so Maxie is stuck on her own and having to pay off the loan somehow.
Enter Angelos, the hero. He does business with the old dude. He wanted her and knew that she wanted him but didnt understand why she never dumped the old guy for him. He finds out eventually of course. He also knows about the loan and offers to pay it back if she, of course, becomes his lover. Her condition is marriage, which he reluctantly agrees but only untill their bored. Or rather he's bored. But Maxie had a godmother who granted all three of her goddaughters (this book is part of a trilogy called husband hunters by the way) a millon dollars on the condition that they marry and for the marriage to last more than six months. Maxie plans to dump Angelos six months later and tell him to shove his money where the sun don't shine. Of course, she falls in love with him. He falls in love with her too and you can see that by his actions. Maxie wrote a list of all Angelos's faults, he found it and tried to act the opposite of those negative traits. All together now - "awww..." My favourite parts of the book was when he found out that she was dyslexic and when he hired an airplane to paint out "I love you" in the sky.

I read this book a few years back. They put all 3 books in the series Called the Prusuit. That's the book i originally review years back but decided to leave individual reviews.
Third book in the series.Nancy Leeward cared deeply for her goddaughters, but how had those three foolish girls repaid her love? Maxie was living with a married man, Darcy was a single mom, and Polly was being paid to bear some selfish man's child. Nancy was determined to force them into happiness . . . by stipulating in her will that her millions would only be bequeathed to each of them if they married within a year, and stayed married for six months. . . . Maxie furiously informed Angelos that no matter what his claim on her, the next man she lived with would have to be her husband in Married to a Mistress This one i found to be ok. its enjoyable. Maxie was blackmailed into living with a married man because he wants her for himself. So he marries her to have her. Like i said not bad and love the whole series together.

Just OK...,
This review is from: Married to a Mistress (Hardcover)
When I decide to order some romance books online, I rely on all these reviews on Amazon to decide whether I'm going to order a particular book or not, & I've got to say that I've found many of these reviews to be way over-rated, & this book is 1 of'em.... The other reviewers already gave the storyline, & so, I won't repeat it, but even though LG is 1 of my most favorite authors, trust me when I say that this book is worth absolutely no more than 2.5 ~ 3 stars bcs. the storyline just sounds way too contrived....

Angelos is the super rich, handsome, sexy Greek who wants Maxie in his bed at all cost. In fact he waits to get her in his bed for three long years. Maxie is what I would characterize as the dumb, blonde model with a disability. She's also that annoying person who's married to the boss and is a total bitch to the staff. She walks in on meetings to tell him off, without thought to what would happen to the poor secretary. I liked Angelos character well enough but Maxie argued about everything. It got really tedious towards the end because she's really dumb. A Blind man could have realized what Angelos was doing, but not her. I don't want to tell you the story and all things said it was ok. I give it three stars and since you know this author's writing is great, you will finish it without throwing it across the room.
