REPENT IN LEISURE?

Well, the wedding of Angie Dellazola and Brett Bravo may have seemed hasty. But in fact they'd known each other all their lives--and, as each of them was the self-appointed sole sane member of their respective families, what better way to ensure that they stay that way than to get married? Their marriage would be based on respect and common interests--none of that burning, all-consuming love that their family members seemed prone to....

And then, one week into their marriage, it hit both of them like a ton of bricks. Angie and Brett were wildly, madly, passionately in love--with each other! This was not the calm, collected marriage they'd counted on.

Well, the best-laid plans...

5.0 out of 5 stars Can Angie & Brett make a Marriage Work?, August 31, 2006
This review is from: Married In Haste (Silhouette Special Edition) (Mass Market Paperback)
Angie and Brett have only been married a few days and things seem to be falling apart. Neither wanted that all consuming love but they have discovered that's what they have! What to do now Angie wonders?!

Brett is one of the sons of the infamous Blake Bravo. We did met Brett in his brother Buck's book BRAVO UNWRAPPED but Brett doesn't want to be like Buck, not a larger than life character, he just wants to be the town doctor in New Bethlehem Flat, CA-his home town!

He has just hired his new RN Angie Dellazola when he and she get called to the home of her parents to deliver her sister's baby who is also Brett's nephew. His *crazy* younger brother was involved with Glory some months ago but now she doesn't want anything to do with Bowie, he's one of those bigger than life characters too! Angie comes from a large several generation in one house kind of family that's noisy and nosey too!

Angie & Brett had been childhood neighbors and friends but each left town after high school to go to school and now 12 years later here they are. The first week on the job Brett & Angie had dinner together each night and they talked about the last few years in their lives some good and some not so good. The waitress they had each night made the off the cuff comment about why didn't they just get married! They thought they could have that kind of marriage where they didn't have be overwhelmed by love.

We watch/read how they solve their problems. Brett is such a sweet beta hero and Angie's sexy and sweet too.

Enjoy another Bravo male and the heroine he finds love with.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Read, September 5, 2011

#18 in Rimmer's Bravo series.

Both the hero and heroine pride themselves on their steadfastness, the opposite of the rest of their crazy respective families. Imagine their self-disappointment when they each fall for the wrong person! So, they resolve to love each other, without being IN love. Of course, the usual emotional roller coaster ensues.

There may be few surprises, but a likeable couple, strong secondary characters and a friendly setting add up to a good story. Enjoy.
