4.0 out of 5 stars cute book., February 16, 2011

I liked this book a lot. I've never read this author before but she did a great job of moving the plot along. Her book was a good mix of plot lines and sex scenes that weren't overally drawn out or too graphic. The author did use the typical "misunderstanding and being lied to" plots but didn't use them to the point of the readers frustration. Things came up and then were resolved in the way they should be. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a light, but romantic read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Page Turner you can't resist, January 5, 2012
By
This review is from: Married: The Virgin Widow (Harlequin Historical) (Kindle Edition)
Married: The Virgin Widow by Deborah Hale had me by the end of the first page. I loved the revenge aspect of how Ford Barrett finally got to go home to England to reclaim his family inheritance and his ex-fiancé who left him for another man. When I finally met Laura Penrose she wasn't what I expected. A proud woman who had been tricked into marrying another man I was immediately sympathetic to her plight of nowhere to turn while trying to keep her family together. Sparks flew and tempers flared when Ford and Laura reunite. I couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting. It was passionate, realistic and tender at times. I highly recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars I Liked It Alot, December 12, 2011
This review is from: Married: The Virgin Widow (Harlequin Historical) (Kindle Edition)
I was able to download this free so was very pleased as stated by the other reviewers I also liked this book a lot. It had a good entertaining storylline with a few very strong characters. I couldn't seem to put it down so stayed up to read it until 4AM.
The basic concept behind the book are way to many misunderstandings, lack of communications some ego issues and of course throw in some good ole pride. I hope you enjoy...happy reading.

Book Summary:

Laura Penrose was forced to marry her ex-betrothels abusive aged uncle. Her Ex Ford Barrett, the new wealthy Lord Kingsfold, has returned from the East Indies to take up his responsibilities and plot revenge on Laura who broke his heart.
