They say the first is the best, and it's none so true as in this instance. I'd never so much as heard of Gackt before I bought this CD on a friend's suggestion, but I don't think I've ever made a better music purchase. Gackt owned my soul from the moment his soaring voice and unique musical style came over my headphones. As with MOON (a later release), MARS is a wonderful mix of styles. There's a bit of everything here: ballads, rock, pop, oddities... and I love it all. I'd be hard-pressed to find a more perfect musical experience, at least as far as my own eclectic tastes go. MARS is one beautiful experience and Gackt has a permanent place in my CD collection. HIGHLY recommended.
