More About the Author

R M Pala spent her first decade of life exploring the woods near her family's home in Virginia. She loved being outside where she could be anything she wanted to be. Her reading choices tended toward the popular Dr. Seuss books, adventures, and science fiction. She directed her first play in second grade based on a magazine story about a family of con-artist foxes. Inspired, she began writing little stories to amuse herself. From age 12 to 15 she attended school in England, when her father was stationed at the American Embassy. Reading the classics of English literature had a big influence on her own writing choices, especially when it came to building strong characters and establishing a particular place and time.

For a while she became enamored with stage acting, but in the end, she majored in Communications (Television Production) with a double major in English Literature. It only took her nineteen years to earn her MA in Communications.

For over thirty years she worked for the federal government as a television specialist and program manager. Upon retiring, she decided to devote her time to telling stories. One of her great passions is her dressage horse named Primadonna. Prima lives in Florida with her trainers and competes year round with horses from all over the world.

She lives on a small farm with her husband, two college kids, horses, a dog with separation issues, a senile cat, and a python named Kevin.

While I'm not an avid sci-fi reader, I couldn't put this book down once I started. The author's attention to detail transported me to heart of the Amazon and placed me on the red planet, where I hung on every twist and turn. The ending left me wanting more. So when's the sequel?
