Product Description

Over-ear construction completely covers your ears, meaning nothing gets in to distract you from your music. Double-ended coil cord with mic and remote is completely detachable so you can decide which side you prefer to wear it. Mic and remote allows you to pick up calls while listening to your music. When you are done using your Monitor, fold them down and stow them away in their canvas carrying case, embossed with a script Marshall logo.

Where can I start! I have purchased many different headphones, but non have come close to the well rounded quality of the Marshall Monitors. I am usually a fan of Sennheiser but bought these on impulse instead, and I am so glad that I did! Here's why;

Build Quality: Excellent. The cord is durable with gold plated auxiliary connections. About 5 inches from the top an inline mic and control exist, but right below that the cord is coiled, which extends about another 10 inches. The cord produces almost zero noise when rubbing on your shirt or desk, etc. The frame itself is extremely sturdy cast iron which is covered in a leather headband that rests on your head comfortably. Adjusting the height of the headphones feels really solid with distinct clicks and visual increments. I feel that it will remain this way for the life of the headphones. For the drivers themselves, they are housed in a (plastic) stylish leather, and accompanied with magnetic pleather ear cushions. Which makes these ear cushions able to be easily removed and replaced. I do feel that these cans will last a very long time.

Sound Quality: Excellent. For the price, these headphones perform in the $300 range. Really solid bass and warm mids and crisp treble. What is interesting with these is the F.T.P. enhanced experience. Remember how I mentioned that the ear cushions can be removed from the headphones? Underneath them a removable attachment (cardboard cloth) exists that rests on top of the driver opening. While having these in place, the sound has deeper bass and a warmer overall sound (dampens the sound). With the inserts removed, the sound is extremely crisp. I prefer them to be removed, but the option alone is awesome.

I have been debating on a pair of headphones for months now, and I finally settled on the Marshall Monitors'. I have a pair of the Marshall Minors', and I was very happy with those.

I am very impressed with the quality of the headphones, and the materials chosen to make them. I find a lot of over ear headphones do not sit comfortably on my ears and after a long period of time they begin to hurt my ears. The Marshall Monitor headphones do not. The cushions fit on my ears and are so comfortable. The headphone jack is thick and durable.

The sound quality is great, but the sound you get is little higher on the bass, but I do like that so it is not a problem for me. I know these are not 'noise cancelling', but they do block a lot of the noise around you. I think these headphones are great, and well worth the money.

Cannot believe that only 1 person has reviewed these.

The Charm:
I wasn't planning on buying headphones.
I saw these in a speciality store, and was charmed by their sleek design.
So I tried them on. The fit was amazing. Not too much pressure on the ears.

Sound Quality:
The sound is really great. I usually use Sennheiser HD550s.. the Marshall have much better and deeper bass.
You can customize it too using the inserts that come with the headphones (an innovation in itself).

Build Quality:
The headphones are extremely well built, sturdy and fold inwards to become super compact.
I've been folding them in and out for months now and there is no sign of the band getting weak.
Very impressed.

Point for Improvement:
The only downside is the remote doesn't have volume control.

Conclusion:
- Highly original design
- Perfect for traveling / commutes
- Great sound and deep bass without being overpowering
- Durable & Comfortable / Don't tire your ears out
- Perfect for home studio monitoring (i.e. via Apogee one)
- Cable quality is top notch (only down side is no volume control..but you can pause/skip to the next song and use SIRI on iPhone)

These headphones are without a doubt my favorite headphones I have ever owned.

My criteria for buying headphones, from most to least important, go:
Comfort
Sound quality (particularly bass performance)
Overall look
Durability

Comfort - I first tried these out at a Best Buy. For me, they were without a doubt the most comfortable headphones in the $200-or-lower category, and the second most comfortable overall, next to Bose's Quietcomfort model, which was $300. I have fairly big ears, and it seems like a lot of "over-ear" headphones are designed for ears quite a bit smaller than mine. These fit perfectly, though, like a custom frame for my ears. The cushions also make for a very comfortable experience, easing the pressure on your head over the course of long listening sessions.

Sound quality - The sound quality of these headphones is fantastic. They come with an easily-removable little insert that you can choose to have inside the headphones, and effect how the trebles sound. Personally, I think the sound quality of the headphones with the inserts in is sub-par, but once you take them out, everything is clear as day. Trebles sound great, and bass, which is very important to me as an EDM fan, booms out with a strong tone. Unlike many bass-heavy headphones, the bass is strong, but not overpowering. If you are looking for huge booms, I would recommend Sony Simon Cowells. But for my bass tastes, these are perfect.

Overall look - The headphones look very sleek and stylish. The black finish with gold accents is a classy look, and the fact that the phones are not the huge round style found on many other headphones gives the product a more mature look overall.
