I thought I was buying the whole pen when I bought it because the picture was mis-leading to me, so when just the bottom arrived I was a little peeved. I just wanted everyone to know you're not purchasing the cage too, just the blue bottom. Other than that I like the idea and am anxious to use it on the cage I purchased.

The mat doesn't fit as neatly around the playpen as the ad shows, but the velcro holds it in place well enough. I found out the hard way that this mat isn't leakproof; even though I cleaned up my ferret's accidents as they occurred, I found urine burns on my wood floor when I moved the mat. So now I use newspaper or cage diapers with it. When the mat gets really nasty, I take it into the yard, hose it off, and let it dry. Some of the stains will still be there, but they won't smell.

The mat was a disappointment. I thought that it would be easy to place around the pen. It's not, and quite cumbersome. Also, the mat does NOT repel moisture. If my animal had an accident, it would leak through. I have found that a heavy tarp does a better job, at a much cheaper price.

My rabbits chewed this to shreds. I was counting on making the playpen & mat their new home, but within days, it is pretty much out of commission. My rabbits have plenty of other things to chew, but the velcro straps were an easy target for them. I would not suggest this if you have a pet that likes to chew.

I recieved this so fast. My guneapig loves it. He's running around. The clean up is so easy. It's a perfect mat for my play pen. I love it and thank you for making such a product..

My rabbits destroyed this. I had it on the bottom to prevent digging in the carpet, but my rabbits shredded it within a week or two. Much better to buy cheap linoleum at home depot (or similar store) and use it for flooring...

I don't have the complaint that anyone else has. I have used this cage as an outdoor exercise pen for poultry and for rabbits. I use the blue mat as a cover, not a bottom, and it keeps the chickens from flying out, the bunnies from hopping out. The mat-cover also keeps out the red-tail hawk who lives in the tree above the house, and it keeps out light rain for up to an hour.
The animals use the ground as their potty, of course, but I have used it inside on a rainy day with a hand-cut clear-coated octagon of cardboard, and lots of straw bedding. I've had this one pen several months and I'm going to buy another, with a cover (mat). I'll also recommend it to my chicken & rabbit owning friends. It does fold quickly & neatly to take in the car, and it's really easy to store. I think it's a great value for the price.

My bunny, Frac, is a rescue, litter box trained, and he really loves being inside with people. I bought the small animal play pen because I have two large dogs and also Frac likes to chew wires. The pen is in my office so I was using a make-shift plastic shower curtin underneath the pen to protect my rug. Well, he kept pulling the curtin up inside the pen making it necessary to secure it outside. Having to do this every time I cleaned the pen was really time consuming and alot of work. This cover has velcro security strips that keep the liner in place not to mention give the pen a much nicer and neater appearance.

I wish I had bought this product sooner as I like going into my office and seeing the nice neat pen with a very happy rabbit inside. He did put it to the test by trying the usual digging to pull the liner inside the pen only this time it didn't work!

I would recommend this to anyone using small animal pens.

I just got my playpen mat delivered, and it fits my playpen perfectly! Setting it up with my pen was very quick. My only concern is that it already has a hole chewed in it! The canvas is not as thick as I thought it was going to be. The seams where the mat was sewn together are on the inside directly in the path of my bunny to chew it and unravel the stitches.

My rabbits pee and it goes right through the mat and through the carpet. As well, cleaning is very tough. The mat cannot be put in a washing machine and hand washing is a gross task. This seems like a good idea, but once you get it you realize it really is too good to be true.
