this amp is pretty great. it has a good whole sound to it. the effects are wonderful. remember when u get it, there are effects set on every setting (mode) CLEAN, CRUNCH, OD1, and OD2. but u can change them. u just put the effects a certain way on a specific setting (mode), press store and it keeps it like that. also if u don't want any effects on the different settings (modes), just turn the effects off when on a specific setting (mode) and press set. i just figured that out. i originally had a long paragraph explaining the negatives about this amp (the negatives only being the preset settings, nothing else) and had 4 stars voted on it. but it's definitely a 5 star amp. just remember, if u get it, don't freak out because everything on it has either reverb or delay, remember u can change it.

Despite what other ppl say, this is a MARSHALL. When you look on any stage of any rock or metal band, you don't see a line 6 or vox or roland. Hands down it's a piece of art work, sounds just heavenly.I've heard ppl say it's not loud enough, there's not enough distortion. My friends that means you really don't know how to adjust your amp. It has the cleanest tone imaginable in channel one and the overdrive channel 1 and 2 you can adjust to get what ever sound ur looking for. From AC/DC, Slash tone from Guns N' Roses. Adjust your reverb and other effects to get that bluesy tone of Mark Kendall (Great White).

This Amplifier came packaged really well from amazon, no nicks or dents. The carbon fibre finish is just awesome, well put together amp, no loose nuts or plastic jacks. Plugged in my Dean Dimebag Razorback and turned on the amp, the rest was just pure metal bliss. Despite this product states it's a 30 watt amp, it's output is about 70 watts, which is very loud for a bedroom or apartment and loud enough to sound good in a small to medium club with proper microphone system. If there were a higher review than 5, I would give it a 7 and the only reason for that is because it's a solid state amp not a Tube amp, But very close to tube technology. You can't go wrong for $199.99 this is a steal of a deal for the sound you get from it. I highly recommend this amp for beginners or for the intermediate guitar player looking for a better sounding amp to take their sound to next step.

I have been looking for months for an affordable effects pedal and an inexpensive amp with modeling that was small enough to practice at home but would be OK to jam with some other instruments. I looked at Peavey Vypyrs, Fender Mustangs and Champions, Line 6, and so on. I heard nothing that made me want to buy any of them. I was about to just spend $200 on a Zoom G3X and use the powered speakers I already owned, then save up to get an amp down the road. I just happened upon the MG CFX series and it saved the day!

Package arrived on time and the box had no damage or marks. The amp is identical to the pictures and description. I let it sit and warm up from the winter temps while reading the manual. Pretty straight forward and easy to understand. Read the book, piddle with the amp, read the book again and you'll be a pro.

I plugged it in to a surge protector, plugged in my Jackson Dinky, and away we go. (I wont repeat the amp functions listed in the item description) The factory presets on the channels are decent. You will have to tweak them to your liking, and if you read the manual you'll know how to customize and save you own presets quickly. The amp sounds outstanding. Again, The amp sounds outstanding. Yes it's solid state, but it has that great Marshall tone I was looking for. Most amp modeling tries to copy Marshall anyway, so who would know best? The guys modeling their own tone! I can't believe how clean this thing sings on any channel. The effects are limited but work perfectly with the amp. The carbon fiber exterior looks great, the control / input panel looks clean and professional, and the back is completely enclosed.

For many years, I've wanted a Marshall, but I could never afford the often hefty price tag. Along came a whole bunch of birthday gift cards, and my dream was finally realized. Everything about this amp is well beyond my expectations. Its solidly built, it looks great, and has plenty of power. The built in effects are surprisingly nice, if a little bit tricky to figure out at first. The manual explains in easy detail how to use them, and how to turn them off completely if you want to. I ran my own set of pedals through it, and WOW...I didn't think it could sound any better than it already it. Playing a Les Paul through this thing is heaven. The tones are beautiful, and I cant recommend this amp highly enough. Clean or dirty, it rocks!

No kidding, this amp is more than I actually need for rattling the windows in my living room. But for 200 bucks, you're not going to get any better, believe me. I'm still figuring out how to program all the channels and work all the effects- the instructions it comes with are pretty good but experience is the best teacher when you're trying to get a certain sound. I'll probably end up using my effects pedals anyways, although the effects are nice to have and being able to recall a certain setting is pretty cool. I didn't get the optional pedal for the amp, but it would probably make this thing even better. All in all, more than worth the 200 dollar price tag. And it's Marshall... legendary. Do yourself a favor though and get some nice shielded cables if you don't already have them.
