5.0 out of 5 stars Makes a fat ferret.
Before I had a job I didn't have a means to afford this type of food. Once I switched both my ferrets to it I have noticed they are more active, and they are fattening up! Not to say they are too fat, they are just a lot healthier. Buy this item! I get it cheaper from here than from ANY local pet stores.

We started our fuzzbutts on Marshall's becasuse they are Marshall's ferrets, warranty, etc. After some research on the internet we decided to try another brand. Our vet reccomended we try EVO which is a little more expensive but supposed to be healthier for the ferrets (no corn and more protein.) I wouldn't go so far as to say Marshall's is bad since they have been in the ferret business for a long time. The biggest difference for our little guys has been their odors. Two of the first four ingredients for Marshal's are fish. After we switched both the skin and litter box orders pretty much went away. With the Marshal's we always used bi-ordor to help, we no longer have to use it. You should also note that ferrets don't like to try new foods. They become imprented at a fairly young age and a one or two year old usually is not going to accept new food very easily. Change foods by mixing old and new gradually increasing the amount of new. They may....will experience some digestive upset (scour) which will clear up over a few weeks. Our vet reccomends having your ferret eat a couple different foods. we mix a small amount of zupreem with the evo so they are used to both foods in the event we cannot get evo they are adapted to a backup. Hope this helps....

2.0 out of 5 stars My Two Cents, December 3, 2010
I bought this when I got my two ferrets because of Marshall's warranty. After doing some research on what's good for ferrets and what's not. I'm not very please with the fact that the 3rd ingredient that this food has is "Corn". Ferrets are meat eaters and cannot digest corn. From what I've read, corn is actually bad for them and can cause intestinal problems. My guess is that Marshall's is using it as a "Filler" to save money instead of thinking about the ferrets well being. Sure they warranty the ferrets for one year as long as you keep them on Marshall food, but my thinking is that it takes more than one year for problems to show up in your ferret.

I won't be buying anymore of this product. Do your ferrets a favor and research the ingredients of this and other brands before purchasing this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good food for Ferrets, February 1, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I decided to feed my Two Ferrets with this food, becouse I thought that Marsall is the expert in Ferrets, I actually got my Ferrets from them, and I was very right: my Ferrets love this food and are in very good health condition too, they are active, and they are just happy. I have try with other foods but I have seem difference in their general aspect, and they don't like too. So I really recommend this food; I have been using it for eight months.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best for the Best, January 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is the best ferret food out there for the right price. I have two little girl ferrets that I rescued. Each of them were in poor health when they first came home with me. I tried Wal-Mart brand food, but they did not like it and it was not producing the healthy results I wanted. When I went to a local pet shop, Marshall Premium Ferret Diet was all they had, so I decided to give it a shot. As soon as I opened the bag for the first time, my two little girls were dancing around their food dish. They loved it! Within a week I was seeing results; their coats were becoming fluffy, their eyes were shining, and they were more active and happy. I have been feeding Marshall brand food to them for 2 years now, and I refuse to feed them any other brand. I HIGHLY reccommend this for your ferret(s)!

5.0 out of 5 stars They love it, July 13, 2011

My ferret loves the food. Apparently so do my cats. Shortly after delivery, my cats tore open the box it was delivered in and the sealed bag inside. But this is the stuff we buy for the ferret because he really loves it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ferret Feed, March 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is the only brand food our ferret will eat. We have bought 3 or 4 other types and she very finically turns her nose up at the others even though sometimes I can't tell the difference myself, it must just taste better. The seven pound bag last about 3 months with our little girl by us keeping just enough in her bowl for her to always have some and keeping about another couple of pounds in a zip-lock bag and keeping the rest closed up in the orignal resealable bag. It stays fresh enough until she eats it all this way. Ferret food can be pretty pricey but we have found this is the most economical way for us to buy it, especially since we only have the one right now. Also we have never gotten a "bad" batch - one that she didn't seem to want to eat.

4.0 out of 5 stars All my ferret will eat, December 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I just wanted to say that my ferret is a Marshall ferret, bred on their farm and we got him when he was only a couple months old, he is now nearly 8 years old and doing very well and has been virtually 100% healthy the whole time we have had him. All he eats is the marshalls brand food. We have tried other stuff "heathier" food and he wont eat it. This stuff is pricey in the store (you save about $5 a bag here) but it's what he likes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Food!, June 20, 2010
I have two marshall ferrets and they love this food! They aren't picky eaters (they steal cat food and dog food) but it doesn't fill them up like the marshall food does. I've never had a problem with blockages or sensitive stomachs with this food and the ingredients are great! It's worth the extra money and is actually cheaper if you buy in bulk!

5.0 out of 5 stars For my fuzzies, December 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My four ferrets love this food. It appears to be of high quality as I've never had to give them vitamins or supplements. Their fur is thick and shiny and they are very healthy. I would recommend this food for anyone with fuzzies.
