5.0 out of 5 stars Great product and company
I bought a Marshmallow Shooter and Blaster because my little brother had one and I thought it would be great for the dorm. I was not let down! Now half my friends have one or the other and we have little wars in the dorm hall.

I'll admit I couldn't get the shooter to work at first, but I called the manufacturer and they were extremely helpful and helped me...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great fun, but be careful
These were a big hit on Christmas Eve, however, 2 of them broke on the first try. Make sure you don't overpack the loader, DO NOT put marshmallows that have gotten too soft and don't mix the pellets and the marshmallows. Also make sure when you shoot them you do so slowly. They work better this way!

I'll admit I couldn't get the shooter to work at first, but I called the manufacturer and they were extremely helpful and helped me realize I was loading it wrong. They also told me if I ever had any problems to call them again and they would help or replace the items if they ever broke.

Thank you Marshmallow Fun Company!!

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST TOY PURCHASE IN YEARS!!!, January 19, 2007

MY BOYS AND NEPHEWS ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE!! (Especially the 6'5" one - my husband)! Had a group of 12 fifth-grade boys over for a birthday party and the marshmallow guns were the hit of the party - all the boys were talking about them at school the next day. They occasionally get jammed up - just push what's in there out with a pencil, run a little hot water through there and dry it out... you're ready to go again! A little cornstarch on the marshmallows helps keep things dry and shooting smoothly. AWESOME PRODUCT!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money!, August 23, 2007
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Marshmallow Shooter (Toy)
This toy looked like it would be a lot of fun. The concept is fun, however, this product is badly constructed and flimsy. We purchased 4 for our family , 2 were broken within minutes. The seals failed to hold so that enough pressure to shoot the marshmallows could be built up. Even while following the directions, and not using excessive force, one shooter's loading chamber snapped off at the base. The 2 remaining shooters quickly became jammed with marshmallow. We spent more time clearing out the chambers than shooting marshmallows. In short, this product is a piece of junk, save your money and build you own using pvc piping.

Unfortunately, the mashmallow shooter does not operate the way you would hope it would. I purchased five of these guns and gave them to family over the holidays. Everybody ran into the same problem. The first 5-10 marhmallows comes out smoothly. After that they begin to stick to the exit of the gun. You'll see 3-5 mashmallows backing up, bulging into a larger blob that never shoots anywhere. We have tried dehydrating marshmallows, and we have tried applying oil to the end of the barrel to see if that makes any difference. It doesn't. Although everybody loves the idea there is a gun out there that can shoot marshmallows, I regret to say that you are better off throwing them with your hand. This product was a huge waste of money. We can't seem to throw ours away b/c it cost so much and keep picking it up hoping it will work one day. It's a false hope!

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy, if it weren't for the Jams, December 29, 2008

This is a two piece plastic assembly with a removable marshmallow tube. Pump action creates pressure propelling the marshmallow about 15 to 20 feet.

Unfortunately, marshmallows (if at room temperature) get stuck frequently. I spent 6 times on the day after Christmas removing marshmallows from the nozzle. It appears that the ammo needs to be perfect in shape and colder than room temperature. I would prefer if this were used outdoors but I could really foresee antpiles everywhere.

Aside from the Jams, which stick like glue, this toy is fun for little kids. If it can shoot dog kibble, at least the floors would be cleaned up, after my daughter shoots the ammunition everywhere.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do NOT buy this toy, August 13, 2007

I can't tell you how disappointed I was by the performance of this marshmallow shooter. It works perfectly fine with the 5 foam pellets they give you BUT when you try it with marshmallows, it jams up. This happened 5Xs. THEN the toy broke. The chamber broke away from the rear of the shooter. DO NOT buy this product.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very fun but lacks durability, October 23, 2006

I bought this for my 10-year-old nephew. He loves it but it broke fairly quickly. Now he wants another one but I'm hesitant because it clearly lacks durability, based on our experience and other reviews.

3.0 out of 5 stars Perfect last minute gift, January 17, 2007
This review is from: Marshmallow Shooter (Toy)
The product works better with marshmallows than the pellets that come with the product. The keep getting stuck and you have to take apart the shooter to get the out.

Overall a fun toy.
