5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!, November 8, 2001

This band is AMAZING! If you have not heard them, take a couple minutes and listen to the sample tracks. Their sound is hard to fit into a catagory, so I won't even try...they've got guitars, drums, keyboards, horns & even a banjo! Very unique, good time, having fun kind of sound. My personal favorites are Go Get It, Happy Happy and the Birthday Song. But the others are also really kickin' songs!

Take the time and listen to the samples or just take my word for it...Marshmallow Pie is a GREAT cd!! You'll be HOOKED!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ride with the Pride....., January 28, 2005
This review is from: Marshmallow Pie (Audio CD)
Without a doubt, one of the most unique styles of music to ever grace my rods and cones!!! I have had the opportunity to see these guys on more than one occasion, and they are true performers in the purest sense!!! Energy galore, The Pride delivers their performance right to the core of the soul leaving you catching your breath and wondering why they stopped!

I was fortunate to be able to give folks in my area a fist taste of The Pride and have since seen even the biggest doubters bopping and hopping to every note and lyric.

In a world of such tasteless new music, Spookie Daly Pride emerges with a purely fresh and fun attitude, leaving you wanting more and more with each listen!!! Marshmellow Pie is a never ending indulgence of great rock and roll, sidestepping the mainstream and proving originality combined with great skill as artists, is truly what the music industry needs!!!

If you should happen to cross paths with The Pride, be sure to check them out and if your lucky, introduce yourself and you may find yourself drawn into a great night of fun with the guys. You rocked the Patio in Broadripple!!!!

Spookie, Pete, Tommy and Floyd...You guys are the best and I can't wait for your new release in April 2005....See you along the way and keep up the Great Work!!!! GO SOX....from one Pride member to the next....JOY!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spookie Rules!!!, July 28, 2003

Marshmallow Pie is fresh. Hi energy songs that really get the foot tapping. The album is well written with a very electric mix of sound and style. The Birthday Song, Happy Happy, Coffee and Pot, and Going to See the Governor are the definite highlights of this album. Pie is not just a fluff and circumstance mix of marginal efforts used to promote one song, the whole album rips!

5.0 out of 5 stars Get Spooked, October 24, 2002

Anyone who loves to dance, or who listens to rock music with heavy reggae and ska influence would love this album. So would anyone intrigued by a band that manages to harness the energy you might find in a drunken piano bar or a German brothel.

The band puts on an amazing live show that keeps your body moving and fists pumping. One listen will have you salivating for more. Get this album - worth every penny and then some.

Highlights: "The Birthday Song," (because today is my birthday and the cake is on fire!) "Happy,Happy," (I've got to be, got to be, got to be happy) "Marshmallow Pie," (Hop on for the ride, were eatin' marshmallow pie) and "Holy Rubbertramps" (got soul, will travel).

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, August 17, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Marshmallow Pie (Audio CD)
I saw these guys in a club several months ago, and they put on an absolutely amazing show. They really connected with the audience, and got us really involved in the music. After their set, I bought their cd and have been jamming to it ever since. My favorites are Coffee and Pot, Splash, and Karma Thunderbolt, although all the songs are good. Coffee & Pot and Splash have a great ska/reggae beat. Easy to skank to. Many of the other songs seem to have a funk influence. Excellent stuff!
