Raul Malo is one of the most accomplished vocalists of all time. His fans are legion, and he puts on some of the most outstanding performances imaginable. If you've not seen him live, in concert--well, that should be on a list of things to do in your lifetime!! He puts on a magnificent holiday show at the end of each year, during his tour, and it's a can't-miss occasion, indeed!

This long-awaited Christmas/holiday album delivers the incomparable vocalizations of Raul, along with the phenomenal piano accompaniment of Robert Chevrier. The title song could well have been called "Marsh-Malo World!!" EVERY song is superbly rendered. But, of course! Raul Malo is a vocalist in the league of a Roy Orbison.

It's refreshing to hear his vocalizations on standards such as Silent Night. Malo takes a song and makes it his own. In December 2006, his Christmas show was a preview of the songs on the CD; Raul's incomparable guitar playing and the piano accompaniment of the magnificent Robert Chevrier are much in evidence on this album. Santa's Back in Town, Blue Christmas, and Jingle Bells all get a marvelous re-invention by Raul. If you get a chance to catch his 2007 Christmas tour, do yourself a favor and go!

Lovers of Raul, of holiday music, or the holiday season will be thoroughly absolutely delighted with this CD. Magnifique!!!

You just know that if Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack were still alive and swinging, they would have to induct Raul Malo as a full-fledged member. The man has a voice even Dino and Ol' Blues Eyes would admire. And this cd is worth the listen just for Malo's heart-melting take on that old standby, 'White Christmas.' This cd makes me wish there would be some more Malo music for me under the tree this year.

Raul does it all on this cd. Beautifully reverent in his rendition of "Silent Night" and 'Ill Be Home For Christmas", a delightfully danceable and sort of schizophrenic "Silver Bells", fun,sexy and swinging in every other cut! His voice has no equal...no one else sounds this good time after time.
Great band backing him up too! Officially my favorite Christmas album. Play it several times a day!!! No matter if it is still a ways til Christmas...one can never tire of his voice and these great songs!

More great music from this very versatile performer! I love his renditions of these holiday songs...He definitely puts his own spin on them...very bluesy, jazzy and funky. I have been listening to it non-stop since I received it in the mail on Saturday...It will be a great addition to your holiday collection. Silent Night gives me chills it is SO beautiful and I absolutely LOVE his rendition of Jingle Bells...groovy!

Raul Malo could sing the phone book and it would be amazing! His smooth voice is at it's best wrapped around these holiday favorites. His renditions of "Marshmallow World," "White Christmas" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas" will become your favorite versions of all. I was also thrilled to see that someone else knows the old forgotten Bobby Vee track "A Not So Merry Christmas" as it has been one of my holiday favorites for a long, long time! Raul can do no wrong... and thankfully he visits us here in Pittsburgh annually to share his gorgeous music.

If you're already a fan of Raul or The Mavericks then buy this now without hesitation. Don't miss his last release "After Hours" featuring covers of classic country tunes. As the promotional label on the cover reads, it "...will leave you wanting more" and they couldn't be more right! BRAVO RAUL and thanks for two stunning albums in one year!

Malo's voice is so rich and strong no matter what he sings. This album will make you want to start baking holiday cookies and hanging the mistletoe!

Silent Night and Feliz Navidad are two of my favorites. The album is definitely worth adding to your holiday collection!

This is a very good christmas cd by a very good artist. His sound is still very good and all his own. No one else sounds like Raul Malo.
