4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Tent / Canopy, July 9, 2010
This review is from: Sun Mart Deluxe Screen House 12'x20' - Green
I have had this tent for several years. I obtained this on clearance when a local store was shutting its doors. I have used this on several occasions 3-4 times a years and this year bought another one. First of all you have to follow the instructions completed inorder for the tent to be set up without alot of hassel. I have done this by myself on several occassions. The cords are used not to strengthen the tent but to assist with assembly. The poles are about 2 feet in length so there are 6 poles linked together with the string for the width. There are then 4 sets of poles each 5 poles long 2 for each length. From the corners come smaller poles to the center in order to run the long center pole with supporting poles to support the canopy.

This is a very secure tent - this summer it survived 50 MPH winds but the next day i succumed to 60 mph winds. A few poles bent and the tent collapsed. I called the 800 number and ordered a few new poles and they were shipped out the next day. At that time I also ordered a new tent from the manufactures website. The previous review mentions the cords coming out but again those are just to keep the 5 / 6 poles together for ease of assembly. they can be reinserted into the pole with a pair of pliers. [...]

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent canopy, but, over-priced, August 10, 2010
This review is from: Sun Mart Deluxe Screen House 12'x20' - Green
Just after buying this canopy I saw a similar one offered at Target or Wal-mart that was only slightly smaller (10' x 10') for around forty dollars. We could have bought two of those tents, paid less and had no shipping charges. Bummer.

This canopy works, however, and was easy to set up and with stood a pretty severe thunderstorm. We did attach it to a fence and a deck on three sides, so, that helped it endure the storm.

If I could to do it over, I would have purchased the one at the retail store.
