4.0 out of 5 stars Very soft sheets... almost 5 stars, except...
I just wanted to leave a quick review for these sheets (fitted, flat and pillow cases) for the _Burgundy_ colored Martex 300 thread count queen size.

These sheets are very nice, soft and comfortable. Just a word of warning with the darker color sheets. You may want to wash them more than once as after only one washing they still bled their color into our light...

1.0 out of 5 stars Will not last very long
When I first recieved these sheets, I loved them. They are quite soft. They've been washed twice now, and the seams are starting to come apart on the fitted sheet and pillowcases. The edges on the flat sheet are now very frayed and it is coming apart where the sheet if folded over and sewn at the top.

1.0 out of 5 stars Burgundy dust comes off the sheets, September 21, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought a set of king burgundy fitted and flat sheets. It looks nice and feels soft and thin. But the very first day I noticed some kind of very fine burgundy color dust coming off the sheets. It gets stuck to sleepwear. White air return vents in my bedroom became almost red in color with this dust. The worst part is that the dust stays on the bed and is very hard to remove it even with a vaccum cleaner. I was careful to wash these sheets separately, I collected about two full cups of red dust from dryer vent.

1.0 out of 5 stars The color sticks!!, January 6, 2006
I got these sheets and was very pleased with them at first. After a couple of days I observed color sticking to everything around. The worst, it painted my matress in RED color!! I tried my best to remove the color but it wont go away. Now I found the best place for these sheets - in the attic.

2.0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive, yes, but still not worth it., September 13, 2005

These are more like 200-250 thread count. Soft at first, but after a couple of washings, they feel rough, loose their shape, and wrinkle easily. I purchased several different colors in twin and king sizes and all have been a disappointment.

These sheets are very nice, soft and comfortable. Just a word of warning with the darker color sheets. You may want to wash them more than once as after only one washing they still bled their color into our light colored sleepwear (during the night). Not a huge deal but noticeable. I would suggest washing these darker colored sheets at least twice, maybe even three times before using them. Other than that they are great. We also bought the Eucalyptus (light green) sheet set and did not have this problem. We will be buying at least one more set of these sheets, have not decided on which color yet though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Watch out for the dye, August 12, 2005

These are great sheets but I did have to clean out my dryer and wash them a few times to get the strong color dye out of them.

Great sheet for the price though.

5.0 out of 5 stars soft and wonderful!, August 5, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I wish I could buy a set of these in every color. However, you only need so many sets od sheets! I was very pleased with these sheets. They are very soft and washed up nicely. The fit my 11 inch thick mattress well, and theres room for even bigger mattresses. No complaints at all! A great deal, and one I would not have been able to get if not for Amazons wonderful prices!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice deal but a little too sleek for me, August 8, 2005
Purchased 6 sets of the flat and fitted sheets over the buy1 get1 deal a few days ago. Got the heather sheets in the mail in 3 days and tried it on the mattress immediately. The color was fine, didn't look faded or dingy. But the fabric itself doesn't feel like very high quality. It was thin and very sleek probably because of the 40% polyester. I have 220 thread count cotton sheets that feel much softer and more comfortable than this. But for the price of less than $3 per piece, it was still a great bargain!

2.0 out of 5 stars 300 count burgandy sheets, March 6, 2005
This review is from: Martex 300-Thread-Count Queen Fitted Sheet, Parchment (Kitchen)
These sheets are the worst in the dryer. I have washed my sheets 3 times and still get the colored lint off the sheets. My dryer is a mess and so is the floor. I do not recommend these sheets in this color or you will have the mess every time you wash them. All the other colors are fine, it is just the burgandy. Can anyone tell me why this happens??
