I was surprised to see that the quality was much better then I had expected!!! You can't get these towels at a better price, anywhere!! I bought them while amazon.com was having a bed & bath sale(spend $125 and save $25), which really added to my savings. I got several sets of these bath towels for myself & as gifts, for my brothers. I also ordered the Martex Egyptian big bath, hand, & wash towels.

Since I had purchased several sets in various colors, I had noticed a slight difference in the thickness between some of them. The Navy was the thickest. The Burgandy, Cinnamon & Twighlight were only slightly less plush and the Antique Rose & Rattan ran a close third. They are all soft and very absorbent. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking for a Good towel for a Great price!!

I love my martex towels. I bought the big towels and received the two extra wash cloths. What a great deal! I couldn't find a better deal at any of the big marts or department stores.

The towel is plush and very absorbent. The towels really fluffed up after the first washing - there was some lint in the trap. Now I don't have room in my towel cupboard for all my new towels! I recommend these towels if you're looking for a good quality towel at a great price. I would give them a 5 star review but they're not quite the same as some of the higher quality/price towels like Christy.

These towels and wash cloths IMO are the best you can get for the money. They are so incredibly absorbant. I have purchased several sets after receiving my first ones. The more you wash them, the softer they get.

I bought the bath towel together with hand towel for $10 when there was a sale going on Amazon (right now it seems Amazon has raised the price for buying both). I am very satisfied with the product and the price I paid.

The hand towel (also the bath towel which is made of the same material) is pretty thick, feels soft and smooth for your hand, face and body. In fact, they are much better than most of those you can find in WalMart, Target or Kmart albeit theirs may be a bit cheaper (not so if you buy when there is a sale like I got).

The other advantage is its durability. I am a tough user of towels. Many towels I bought from cheap stores last only 2 or 3 months before they become stiff or the fabric loosens. The toughest test usually is when towel is put into dryer, which I do periodically for cleaning purpose. After several dryer's operation, many towels have to be thrown away. But not for Martex. Although it also shows tendency of aging, it does so much slower. And I am still happily using them after half a year.

So absolutely buy it when there is a sale.

i had never ordered things online until this past Christmas. Now I am addicted to these lovely towels. And to top it off Amazon has the most courteous CSR reps I have ever experienced. But these towels are exceptional and the more you wash the softer they get. Thank you amazon for being fast even with the free delivery.

These are the softest, thickest towels I own, and I got them when they were on sale for $10. I wish I had bought more!

I got the black towels a week ago. They are beautiful and thick. Then I washed them and they had lint everywhere so I washed them again. Ok now I have washed them 5 times and they are still shedding lint. They are'nt even usable. You use them to dry off and you have black lint stuck everywhere.

These towels are pretty to look at and feel soft and luxurious. Unfortunately, they just won't absorb water, even after many washings. So we hang them up on the towel rack for guests to see, and use the ratty old towels to dry ourselves off.

Bought these for my daughter as part of a wedding gift. She said they are REALLY nice towels and very thick. I will buy some now for myself!

I agree with other reviews. For the money, these can't be beat. I like paying less and being able to get a different set in a few years and justifying it. Years ago, I bought towels that were supposed to last 10 years and got very tired of them. These are not the best made, but they are definitely better than many I have seen for a lot more money. If you have a second home, these are a must buy.
