Nice size cookie cutters, August 10, 2010
This review is from: Martha Stewart Collection 26-Piece Alphabet Cookie Cutter Set (Kitchen)
This is a nice set of alphabet cookie cutters; each cutter is about 3 inches tall. They must be tinplated steel since a magnet attaches to them, allowing kids to hook these together for word games (with adult supervision, of course).
I've seen the smaller fondant cutters and they're quite tiny compared to these, which are good for cutting through bread, meat and cheese as well as cookie dough and play dough. My only problem is one of the welds has already come loose. Still, they're of as good a quality as most metal cookie cutters and probably the best deal on the market, unless you're lucky enough to happen upon a full set at a garage sale. This is a great way to give kids hands-on experience with the alphabet. We're using them to reinforce reading concepts with my nieces, who love this kind of play.

The cutters are sturdy and also a good size. Have not used them yet, but do like the way they look and feel.

Great!, June 27, 2011
This review is from: Martha Stewart Collection 26-Piece Alphabet Cookie Cutter Set (Kitchen)
These cookie cutters are wonderful! I used them to make cookies for a friend's baby shower using the letters of the baby's name and gave them out as tokens at the end of the shower. it took a while to get the right consistency for the cookies, but once I did, the cookies came out great. I even used the center of the O's for the umlat! The trick: make sure the dough is really cold and don't use premade dough from the store if you want your letters to have distinct lines!
