Great product. I have enjoyed using the clay but the directions were not included in the box. I had to
watch youtube videos to figure out how to use it. I also need more information on how to store it after use. I don't want it to dry out while being stored.
I love playing with the colors and using the silicone molds. It's like play-doh for adults.

Because this is a Martha Stewart product, I was hoping for better quality. I won't go so far as to say I'm disappointed, but I will say this kit is expensive for what you get.

Pros:
-comes with reusable rubber stamps, though I'd probably only use those for a wedding
-the clay mixing instructions were pretty accurate
-the clay rose-making instructions were clear and detailed (this is the primary reason I bought this kit - I saw the clay flower segment on Martha's show and wanted to make them at home. It's very easy)

Cons:
-clay was a little hard, as if the box had been sitting on the shelf for a while
-I know this is a starter kit, but I think it should come with enough white clay to make at least half a dozen roses since this is what they show in the product's advertisement; also, it comes with several floral wires, which seems to imply that you should get an adequate bouquet out of the kit (I only managed to get three natural-colored roses out of it. I mean, I have a lot of brown left over, but I'm not going to make a brown rose, you know?)
-floral tape wasn't sticky at all and kept falling off; I got no use out of it whatsoever

Again, I paid $25 for this kit and I thought it should've come with a little more. After doing some research, I found kits with twice the amount of clay and a better assortment of colors for a lot less. And you can watch or read the clay rose tutorial on Martha's website, so all in all, buying this starter kit isn't really necessary unless you want the stamps.

I also purchased her acrylic satin paint set, which I have yet to try, but I hope I'll get a bigger and better bang for my buck out of that.

I love Martha Stewart Products and I always check them out first when going to "Michaels" and I orderd this product from amazon they had it right away and after I bought it at amazon Michaels finally had it. I do like the product it is a nature mold with clay and the clay hardens in 24 hours, the clay is very light it does not even feel like clay, the conventional clay you get, it is so light you could even use it in embellishing in your scapbook, the kit I purchased was all flowers and birds, but even if you do not use the clay the molds are worth having and you can purchase any type of clay with the molds, and now michaels sells all the clay and the molds seperatley as well as a kit with eveything in it. Amazon was great in getting me this product when no one else had it I first saw this product on the Martha Stewart Show and I could not find it anywhere except Amazon, thankyou, Amazon!!!

OK, so I'm still experimenting, but yes, I like this air-dry clay. The texture is amazing. This is PAPER clay, not smooth and plastic-y like some of the all-polymer clays. I wish I knew what all is in this stuff. Is it non-toxic? It is wonderfully shape-able. I've been making flowers with realistically thin petals. After one was thoroughly dry (a rose), I dragged it around during a shopping trip, in a hot car, wire-wrapped around my purse, attached to my wrist, tossed up on the dash to bake in the heat..... just to see how tough it was. Result? Tough! -- and all while being the thinnest of petals. The colors for mixing are like the CMYK used in full-color commercial printing, or you may be more familiar with the inks in your home inkjet printer. Cyan (blue), Magenta, Yellow, and Black. They're super concentrated and go a long, long way mixing into white. It was easy to create the orchid color I was after.
Martha has done it again!

I like this kit & the idea of using paper clay but you are very limited as to what you can create. The instructions for making hydrangea flowers (my prime reason for buying this) don't work. When you try to cut your teardrop shape it just smashes the clay or it seems to dry out before you even get started. Then, unless you have the exact amount of clay in your mold, cutting the excess can be time consuming ( as I had to use an exact o knife) because the long/pointed stick the kit provides you tears the clay or leaves textured edges that look sloppy. I ended up using my pedicure kit to smooth the edges because I was making flowers for my own wedding bouquet & didn't want it to look like bad paper mache. So, I would buy this kit if you intend to use the molds, otherwise forget making anything free style. Also, you cannot sculpt with this clay!

I love this. I have never worked with ANY TYPE of clay before. This is a paper based air-dry clay that I believe originated in Japan and became a Hawaiian based company called Deco-clay. The weight and feel of the clay is so unique and interesting. Its very easy and fun to experiment with the clay. Some ideas for the clay: scrapbooking and card embellishments, tiny magnets, picture frame embellishments, decorative lasting life-like floral arrangements (hydrangea primarily unless you do a little research into making clay flowers) small gift tags, party favors, etc. You can create basically any color and it comes with a color mixing chart. I def. recommend this.
