My 7-yr old son used his Christmas money to buy this toy. I was pleasantly surprised how fun and durable this toy is. Especially like how there are compartments to store everything--no having a bunch of loose pieces to bag up. It's pretty neat how the coolness of the "mud" (aka Play Doh) solidifies the "lava." Thinking of buying another one as a birthday gift.

My 7-year old twin boys had a great time making lots of martians. They were able to do it on their own once they were shown how. You definitely will want extra lunar lava for different colors. We also bought the spaceship with this refill kit.

martian matter: I am a grandmother of twin boys age 5. They loved this particular toy but used up the goop, so I, wanting to be a good mimi searched EVERYWHERE for refills. And only then, when I searched on amazon did I finally locate what I needed for the boys thanks amazon
