I have a small chiropractic office. I mail b/w 300 and 500 letters per week. This thing saves us a lot of folding time. Helps to have a box close for the folded letters. Does well with stapled pages as well. much faster than hand folding for my staff, crisp folds, pretty even...I'm very happy with it.

The reviews were mixed on this product, and I was a little hesitant to order it. Our business didn't require a heavy duty folding machine, but I didn't want to have to sit there and put my origami skills to work trying to tri-fold brochures that ended up looking like a toddler had his way with it, which kind of reflects the normal end product of my folding efforts.

When it arrived, I played with it. Sometimes it worked beautifully. Other times it left creases on the bottom and sides. I figured if it folded the majority well, it could still work.

We just received our first brochure order, and I had to put the new product into action. Well, at first it spoiled 4 of the first 5. I began to panic as I placed them in, figuring I had to place them in with surgeon like precision. I became discouraged.

THEN, I figured out the problem. I just have to line it up in the back slot, making sure neither side of the paper is touching the sides of the printer. Then I have to drop it in and let go. There's no need to guide it in there. There is a slight pause as it lines it up, then it folds it perfectly...every time! I'm very excited now, and can't wait to finish the project.

3 pages no problem, 4 is a little bit of a struggle but it gets the job done. Once you get the hang of getting the pages lines up, it does the job well

I was very scared to purchase this product because of all the negative reviews. I really needed a paper folder and searched for two weeks, even though time was running out for me.

Ultimately, I decided to purchase this product, even though all the reviews were pretty negative (with a couple of exceptions).

Once I got the product, I tested it out with a couple of black and white flyers. It takes maybe two or three different sheets of paper before you get the hang of it. It really is the simplest thing to maneuver. I purchased it maybe a week ago and have since folded over 1250 copies, with only about 1% mis-folds.

The only errors you encounter are human ones. If you were able to put the paper in the slot the same way every time then you wouldn't have any mistakes. But, naturally there are times when it goes off balance.

My advice to anyone looking for a reasonably priced paper folder is this...this is a great product. It is a reliable product. As someone who prints and folds very expensive flyers, I wouldn't recommend this product if it was costing me money.

The folder is agressive. If the paper is fed just slightly slanted it will fold crooked or crunch the paper. I built a paper guide that helps line up the paper each time and it solves the problem. This letter folder works very well but needs a guide of some sort to make it 100% effective.

This machine will tri-fold and bi-fold your papers with merciless aplomb. It will also feed them through at the exact angle you place them in the slot. Off by 2 degrees? Too bad for you, your client's documents you just spent 15 minutes printing and highlighting will get creased and mauled against the interior of the machine, and look like tri-folded garbage.

The only solution? Feed your papers with the speed and precision of an android. You only have half a second to do it in, before the sensor kicks in and sends your poor documents to their potential doom. This issue could have been fixed with a simple $0.50 plastic guide, a slightly wider slot that gives more than 0.001 clearance on an 8.5 x 11 sheet, and a super fancy "Start" button. Who am I kidding, this design appears to have been unchanged for at least 30 years. They're probably all NOS from the original production run, languishing in a Martin Yale warehouse somewhere, intentionally forgotten by the corporate bean counters, an army of electromechanical white elephants, slumbering together row upon row on their dusty shelves, each dreaming malevolently of the small office worker they are destined to victimize.

It's safe to say I'm not a big fan of this machine.

To be fair, the above only happens about 20% of the time, or one in five documents. Still just enough to make this unit a very frustrating waste of time. However, if you're a burnt-out passive aggressive secretary, you'll probably think this thing is the bee's knees, as you secretly maul and crumple the edges of your jerk boss's mailers, invoices, and other client-facing materials.

I bought this to fold about 100 sheets twice each month. It might be a little expensive for such small jobs, but is a real time-saver, ONCE YOU LEARN HOW TO ALIGN THE FEED. It took a certain amount of practice to align the paper just right, guide it a little, and drop. Fortunately, I was able to make a simple guide for the paper out of some plastic pieces, now it works like a dream. Too bad the manufacturer didn't supply a simple feeder tray.
