Product Description

The Martin brown leather guitar strap button is perfect for any acoustic guitar player who does not have a strap button installed on the heel of the guitar. The black leather guitar strap button by Martin is a clever, stylish way to attach a strap to the headstock of an acoustic guitar. This brown leather strap button will not leave marks or scratches on the headstock of a guitar like many others do. Perfect for the player who wants to maintain the traditional, stock look of an acoustic guitar.

I really like this. I don't have a martin guitar, but it really doesnt matter. The little strap works fine and makes it so easy and fast to put a strap on. Im going to buy another soon for my second guitar - ive been switching the it back and forth!

I don't own a martin but it works for me. It's very simple to attach and it looks a lot nicer than strings tied onto the neck. Seems more reliable too.

I didn't want to use a nylon string for my strap and there was no way in heck I was going to drill into my Martin. This serves it's purpose and it's cheap to boot. I will recommend this though, if you're not very bright like myself do not use a set of lineman pliers to connect it to the strap. Just work at it as it's a little difficult at first to attach (for me anyways). Lineman pliers crack plastic, what a concept!

I was excited to buy this product, but upon receiving it I was disappointed. It fits around the neck of my guitar fine, but there is not enough space under the button to properly put the strap onto it. The strap I was trying to connect is a Levi Leathers strap, and I like the strap a lot. The strap ends are made of leather, and are not "light-duty." The end that attaches to the base of my guitar works fine, but the other end would not strap onto the Martin Strap Button. The button does not have enough clearance for the strap to sit in the groove provided. Could be good, but bad design unless you have a flimsy strap.

I have a Martin D35 acoustic and strapping it with the string knot around the neck is honestly a bit annoying to do - so i figure what's a $10 investment going to do for me?

make things easier and CLEANER LOOKING - that's what!

i like it because it really just makes puting the strap on the guitar that much easier and removing it again an easy task.

I bought the martin strap to match the color. Martin 18AMS2 Martin Leather Guitar Strap - Brown

just being a martin brand nut i suppose!

This was a bit hard to install; over or under the strings? We tried both. Over the strings, it would slide below the nut, which isn't good. Under the strings, and it muffled a few. So we kind of WOVE it, above some and under others. Other than that, it works fine, holds the strap with no problems. And it puts the name "Martin" on the lowliest box guitar ;). In hindsight, I'd have probably just got a strap button and mounted it to the base of the neck. But if you don't want to do that, and hate the "lace" approach, this will do the trick. It may even fit better on different guitars, ours is a 50 year-old Norma (that actually sound AMAZING considering its origins; guess old wood just SOUNDS better). And the price is VERY right to be able to claim you own "A" Martin, lol.

Soft and supple enough for comfort but sturdy enough to perform as intended. I put this on my D18, replacing a string I've used for years and am very satisfied with it. In fact, I wish I had gotten one of these a long time ago.

Have a couple of these. The leather is thin enough to just slide under the 6 stings on the headstock, but definitely sturdy enough to last as long as your guitar. You can reverse the side showing if you don't want to do free advertising for Martin. This is the best way I've found of attaching your strap to the headstock. Many prefer to drill a hole and place an endpin in the heel of the guitar and choke up on their strap. Some straps are designed only for headstrap attachment, some only for heel, some for either. Some feel that leaving this leather loop on their headstock permanently can damage some guitar finishes. I've never had the problem in 5 years.
