The author's writing is clear and articulate and his account of events is from a perspective that brings much more reality to both the history and personalities of the civil rights movement. He made Martin luthor King Jr. a real person, something many other biographies fail to do, as well as clearly laying out the events that made him into the icon that he is today and why he made the decisions he did.
