I always buy D'Addario strings from Amazon. My last amazon order I bought different brands to see if they are better. These strings come doubled up in a 3 pack envelope. They are very long and they go on easily. I have a UT you can find out there to hear how these sound and my initial impression. So my true thoughts. I won't buy these again. I might try another Martin item but not these. I bought the .011 size for my acoustic. IF you finger pick then these strings are EXCELLENT. I was using steel and silk before and switching to these was wonderful. There is a String to grab your nail on to compared to steel and silk. That is what I love about this item. For finger picking it has beautiful sound and is a joy to play. Playing with the pad of my thumb also sounds good but not great. Using my thumb nail or a pick and these strings ring like a tinny brassy sound that makes my guitar sound like a toy. D'addario EJ13 from amazon never do this. 10 minutes after putting them on I wanted to take them off- but I will play them out for a month or two until I can't handle it anymore. Look here for the EJ13 http://www.amazon.com/DAddario-EJ13-Bronze-Acoustic-Strings/dp/B0031ZF4Q6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1430884490&sr=8-1&keywords=ej13

I liked these strings. They took about a week to break in and sounded great after that, but...now, before the but, I think this but is for those of us who have the more acidic sweat or oils...I wash my hands before I play and I even use a string cleaner after I play a while that helps extend the life of non-coated strings...but for me they didn't last very long compared to coated. I play daily for at least an hour and these strings lasted me about a month and a half. Elixir's last me about 3 1/2 to 4 months. I have another guitar that I try different strings with and I had a set of DR Phosphor Bronze Rare strings. They lasted about the same as these. I really liked these strings and they had a great price. I may keep a set on hand, but they're just not for me.

These strings have just right gauges for me. They yield clear acoustic tone as well as great response through pick up to PA. Strings hold nice tone for pretty long time, and I am OK with the same set for 3 to 4 month with a pretty heavy work load.

I like these strings for their warmth and clarity, with a hint of chimy-ness. however, they don't last very long, which means I am not likely to use them very much.
