This "Director's Cut": is exactly the same as the laserdisc release of some years ago. I am guessing that somewhere along the line, a cut version might have been issued, but the one here contains nothing that has not already been seen. Aside from this, though, the transfer is gorgeous with clear, razor-sharp images and dynamic sound...all this for just half the price of the domestic release. If you have not yet seen the film, it is one of the most powerful statements ever made about the life of Jesus. To be sure, there are a few cringing moments that seem to go against common Christian mores but as a whole, it is inspiring beyond belief and I don't think that you will ever forget the final revealation of Satan near the end of the film.

One of the best films ever made...5 stars...

however, I am rating this release.

Same as the original release on DVD only any nudity is washed out by korean censors!!!

Don't buy this...spend the extra money and get the criterion release.

This is a bootleg. The all regions format is generally a pretty good indication that a DVD is a bootleg.
