This is not a toy. Its an excellent package to introduce your kids to archery. My son is 12 yrs. old and throughly enjoys using this set. The bow is excellent. Nicely made and sturdy. This will give you an idea of how interested your youngster is without breaking the bank.

The xr recurve is a really good product its good for starters, the arrows are good but the fletching comes out easily but can fix it with super glue.

My 10 year old daughter said it was like Christmas when she opened the box (it was July 2011). She was so excited and thankfully the set has lived up to all the great reviews that we read before buying it.
