Very Nice Advanced Beginners/Intermediate Bow
This is not a toy. Its an excellent package to introduce your kids to archery. My son is 12 yrs. old and throughly enjoys using this set. The bow is excellent. Nicely made and sturdy. This will give you an idea of how interested your youngster is without breaking the bank.

Mediocre Set
Purchased based upon reviews here for my two kids. For the money, I'd say it is mediocre. The good thing is the bow is equipped so that it may be re-configured for left-handed shooting, the bad is the arrow-rest is a really small, cheap, two-pronged rubber fork which comes with an adhesive pad for attachment. Honestly--it's so small, you have to be careful to not lose the...

The xr recurve is a really good product its good for starters, the arrows are good but the fletching comes out easily but can fix it with super glue.

My 10 year old daughter said it was like Christmas when she opened the box (it was July 2011). She was so excited and thankfully the set has lived up to all the great reviews that we read before buying it. Two stacks of hay, target attached and standing 20 metres from it - perfect for an afternoon outdoors. Well done

Honestly--it's so small, you have to be careful to not lose the thing, and worse the adhesive pad did not hold the fork on the bow--I had to glue it and then it held alright. The rest's small size makes it difficult for a child to ACTUALLY USE. I took archery in college and was the best in the class, and I feel like I'd be lucky to hit the broad-side of a barn with this thing. My very-coordinated 5-1/2 year old daughter picked it up, shot three arrows and put it down in frustration. I am also disappointed because this bow does not seem nearly as nice as the Lil' Brave 2 recurve archery set at Cabela's which is priced cheaper.

A little disappointed in this product. For the price I think it felt very much like a toy. Not at all like the recurves that my daughter has used in archery class. I thought the price is a little high for a 'toy'/
