If you are doing whole house audio, give these speakers a listen. Most other speakers mounted in the wall or in the ceiling are very bright and the sound it too "forward" - overly bright. These MartinLogan speakers have a sound that is different from their competition. Their sound is very well rounded and is much richer than the other mounted speakers I listened to - namely Speakercraft. I bought six of the hilos20's and am more than satisfied. But don't take my word, go and listen at your local high end audio dealer and do a comparison like I did. No personal recommendation can substitute for your own ears.

Each speaker has 4 binding posts if you want stereo sound through one speaker. I have two of my six set up in this fashion. The other 4 are paired up in the traditional left/right stereo channel set up. I am really satisfied with the sound of the single speaker setup for my study and sewing room - both in the 10 X 14 foot range. I used two speakers for the larger kitchen and master bedroom areas.

The build of the speaker and the attention to detail are also impressive. Plus, there is a 5 year warranty you get if you send in the registration cards.

Every once in a while you get surprised with a product that just blows you away. This is one of those purchases, for me. I've been outfitting my home theater for some time now, piece by piece, and came across these speakers on sale, just before the holiday, for 50% off - $99/ea! I took a chance, knowing very little about the company and I'm glad I did. Let me preface with I'm a fairly discerning customer, I'm a technology executive and find my tastes skewing to the "prosumer" models, paying a premium at times for quality. My home theater consists of mid to high end components; notably these speakers were going to sit behind a Denon 4310CI receiver and must play nicely with the other B&W speakers in my system.

From the moment I un-boxed the speakers, quality was reflected. Similar to opening an Apple device, somebody actually put thought into the packaging, well packed, organized, manuals, speaker protection, grill-cutout template, paint guard, etc. The installation experience was equally a breeze, a well designed speaker that installed with ease - then I connected the speakers for a few test runs with various music genres - and I was not disappointed! Sound was crisp and clear, great fidelity and an impressive richness, which I didn't expect in a ceiling mounted speaker. All i could say was WOW. I'm using these speakers to support a 7.1 surround setup, and could not be happier with my purchase; great quality, great sound AND a great price - too good to be true right? nope, buy them, you won't be disappointed, just keep in mind - use quality components throughout your system, 12ga wire - as your home theater experience will only be as good as you weakest link, oh and you can find great prices on all your cabling at [...] - again high-quality, and great prices. Hope they work out for you as well.

They were easy to install with all the required templates and nice push button connectors to just slip the wires into. They sound absolutely awesome with true sound reproduction.

I just had these bundled in my Living room and in the Kitchen and I am already excited about the party this weekend.
You just have to bundle the couple of wires and it is quite easy to setup.
I am waiting for folks to hear it when they are in my kitchen.

Wonderful high quality speaker. I am using it as my rear-speaker surround. Easy to install. Highly recommend.

Great sounding speakers from Martin Login. Installing is a bit of a chore as is any in-ceiling speaker Perfect sound for smaller rooms. Dual voice coil makes it perfect for adding surround sound in a bedroom.

As you open the box you'll learn you have bought a quality product. Simple to install. Sound quality is great. I am slowly buying speakers for every room in the house. I installed this one off to the side of our family room 16' X 20'. I think I will buy a sencond Helos 20 and put it on the other side to get a fuller sound throught the room.

Excellent product and look forward to using them thought the house.

Bought 5 of these speakers from amazon during december 2009... I was able to install them myself by following the instructions... these are solid speakers with high quality... the sound quality is awesome... I have paired it up with Onkyo SR607 receiver...

Theses speakers are the best sounding speakers I've heard in a very long time. When these speakers go on sale, make sure to to stock up as the stereo sound form these speakers will fill you home/office with full and clean sound. These speakers are not just used in closets or bathrooms, but can be used for all rooms in your house. GREAT PRODUCT!

These speakers sound great with good bass for the size. Easy to install with included templates. Speakers also look great when installed. I am using these speakers for left and right rear channels in my living room. For my house they are perfect. I have an open floor plan and the ceiling is the only option for my rear speakers. I don't know if these would be great speakers for front channel surround sound applications, but for rear and multi-room applications they are definitely a great fit. After about a week I put the speakers through the paces and they performed great. I am very pleased with the purchase of these speakers and will recommend them for others.
