5.0 out of 5 stars The Martindale: a conditio sine qua non
For everyone in the health profession The Martindale is a book they need to have. You find all the relevant information about drugs and other usefull substances. Besides this it is very clearly written with no fuss, just the information you need.

1.0 out of 5 stars It tastes very bland
Why did they not republish the first edition that tasted of strawberries and cheese. This new version, with it's claims of a "lighter nuttier" taste, is plain awful

5.0 out of 5 stars Great resource for many pharmaceutical items, June 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Martindale the Complete Drug Reference (Hardcover)
Martindale's remains the classic English language source for many drugs marketed around the world. It also keeps one abreast of natural medications and its use of published references makes confirming information easy. I have used previous editions of Martindale since 1960 and keep the most current version on hand.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best information source for foreign made pharmaceuticals, March 23, 1998
By A Customer
This is a necessary reference book for all hospital pharmacies, community pharmacies and those physicians who have a high percentage of immigrant patients. It has a world wide listing of foreign made pharmaceuticals which can not be found in standard drug reference books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Drugstore's Bible, January 26, 2002
This review is from: Martindale the Complete Drug Reference (Hardcover)
This book is excellent! I love it because you find everything on the market related to drugs. I like the part in which they list the commercial names on each continent, sometimes pharmaceutical companies used different names on different countries.
its a must buy for any person dealing with drugs, pharmacy or health care.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent; far and away superior to the PDR, November 14, 1997
By
William J Roberts (Gainesville, FL USA) - See all my reviews
Unlike the PDR, for which all information is provided by the pharmaceutical companies making the drugs, Martindale is independent and interested only in providing accurate and useful information. The descriptions of drugs, actions, side effects, metabolism, and case examples are excellent, as are the choices of references. Expensive, but vital.

5.0 out of 5 stars A review, June 29, 2000

In this book you will find everything you need about drugs: use, administation routes, adverse reactions, interaction with others drugs. All information is based in extensive bibliography. Maybe this edition of Martindale is not as actual as you will need, but is one of the most extensive resource in drug information
