If you're interested in Silver Dollar City, Marvel Cave, or the origins of the Branson tourism industry, you will love this little book!The author manages to write informatively while not boring the reader, and many photographs and sketches are included to illustrate the cave and its history. The book, despite claiming to have the story about of "The Shepherd of the Hills," the Bald Knobbers, and Harold Bell Wright, does not touch on those topics quite as much as the cover might have you think. They are mentioned, though. The only downside is that it's printed with a pretty flimsy cover. |
