4.0 out of 5 stars A cool first armor of Iron Man, October 20, 2007
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Marvel Legends Series 14 Action Figure 1st Appearance Iron Man (Toy)
Overall this is a good action figure and has a good details of Iron Man's
first armor. The only drawback I found with this toy is the Iron Man's mask
does not exactly stick with Tony Stark's face. It does fit but it doesn't
100% lock to the face so I put some sticky tape on it just to keep it from
falling off and that works fine. Other than that, this is a very good
looking action figure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Iron Man, Iron Man, He Can Do Whatever an Iron Can, January 19, 2007
This review is from: Marvel Legends Series 14 Action Figure 1st Appearance Iron Man (Toy)
Industrialist billionaire and geniuses Tony Stark created a suit of armor that grants him great powers. He is now the invincible Iron Man! Wouldn't it be cool if real billionaires became super heroes like they do in the comics? Bill Gates could afford it. He could be Calculator Boy!

Anyway, this is first appearance Iron Man and he comes in silver and gold (variant) much like Bender in the Futurama episode The Farnsworth Parabox. There's not much going on in the way of paint here so it all relies on sculpt and articulation. Fortunately he pulls both of these off without a problem. He look just like the Iron Man from the comic and really looks like a guy wearing armor. The face is plain but he really looks best with the mask on any way. The mask does not fit quite as snugly as some other versions of Iron Man but it stays on so it is OK. Even though he's bulky he has tons of articulation including individual fingers and it's all integrated into the armor really well. He's a good figure all around.

He comes with his comic, the back of the package doubles as a back drop and the wierd mechanical arm/tentacle and equipment of Mojo. Mojo himself is a mix of good and bad. The paint and sculpt on his body is great with spot on skin tones and the electronics coming out of his head look great. His spider base, however, is very plain and lacks much of the detail you'll see pictured on the back of the package and has a very bland and featureless paint job. It also lacks any real articulation other than the legs being able to turn right where they connect to the base. Maybe this was to help it stand better, but here's the rub... Only four of the six legs are actually designed to touch the floor and due to their thin spidery nature they begin to bend under Mojo's excessive flab. I'm sure some ingenuity on my part can correct the problem, but we really shouldn't have to fix new figures now should we. It's a mixed bag on the Mojo.

4.0 out of 5 stars Every legend has a beginning, August 9, 2007
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Marvel Legends Series 14 Action Figure 1st Appearance Iron Man (Toy)
Iron Man is one of the biggest Marvel icons, now more than ever. With his recent promotion to "Director of SHIELD" in the comics and his upcoming summer movie in '08, it is important to know the basics. For Marvel "true believers" and anyone else with curiousity as to what makes this Iron Man tick, this toy is a must.
The design is quite faithful to his Mach 1 prototype suit, and the corresponding comic is Iron Man's first appearance. If there was ever a can opener to Tony Stark, this is it.
