A CLASSIC PYRO FIGURE!!,

This review is from: Marvel Legends 6" Action Figures Series 13: Pyro (Toy)
Pyro is an excellent figure from the Onslaught series of Marvel Legends figures. The figure is nicely detailed and articulated very well. His look is true to the comic book. Although, I thought his costume had more orange in it than this figure has on it. His costume has gone through various, little changes over the years--depending on which artist is drawing him at the time. This figure captures his classic look nicely. Pyro comes with a copy of Daredevil #355 where the two of them mix it up in a burning warehouse (where else?). It's a good comic to go with the figure. (And, again, the costume that Pyro wears in this comic is different than the one the figure wears.) Marvel Legends continues with its "Build A Figure" campaign. Pyro comes with a piece of a larger figure that can be assembled when the other figures--and their respective pieces in the series--are purchased. When completed, this series builds the X-Men villain, Onslaught. Onslaught isn't as big as the past characters (Galactus, the Sentinel, Apocalypse, or Giant Man), but he still looks fine and is nicely detailed. Onslaught is a great character and has good articulation, but the characters in this series sell themselves and I would have bought them regardless of the Onslaught figure. This series of figures also includes a character-dedicated diorama, or backdrop, so that Pyro can be posed in front of for display purposes. Pyro is in good supply so getting him should be easy. I highly recommend this figure to Marvel Legends/X-Men fans.

This review is from: Marvel Legends 6" Action Figures Series 13: Pyro (Toy)
This is classic comic book Pyro here. The one with the red and yellow suit and able to make his flames take the form of dragons and such. This is a good looking figure despite the silly outfit which actually looks pretty good, although there is a touch of paint slop on that yellow "diamond" in his chest on mine but not much. He has a deceptively good head sculpt with a grimace of concentration on his face and his hair actually looks as if its being lifted by super heated air. He does have the big crazy red eyes on his mask, but its not really bad. The tubes that carry his flame throwing concoction actually add a lot to his overall appearance. He has the pretty full set of Marvel Legends articulation. His only real issue is he's a bit small and sometimes hard to balance but over all he's fairly solid. His accessories include a comic, a VS card; you can use the card board back as a backdrop if you want using an included stand and the lower torso and back shell of the build a figure, Onslaught. Onslaught himself is a bit of an unusual cat. A kind of solid projection of Professor X's bad side combined with a bit of Magneto and taken a life of its own he was bad news for a while. Not sure if he was really that popular a villain though, although he did set some heavy events into motion. The figure is not the giant build a figure (BAF) we're used to from past series and is more in scale with the regular big figures like Abomination. However, he is really massive, as in heavy and bigger than most any regular figure but don't expect a giant. He comes up to about Apocalypse's waist. He is really detailed too though and has tons of articulation so is a cool figure and they went all out on the sculpt. Still, it would have been neat to see him in a bit of a bigger size.
