Wonder Man is another great action figure in the Marvel Legends Legendary Riders series. He has the same body sculpt as the Black Panther from the Sentinel series. As a result, the articulation for him is very good and all the joints were tight and well concealed. His picture on the package differs a little than the actual product inside. In the picture, you can see that his head sculpt is a little different, but both look very good and do justice to the character. Also, the paint job around his chest is a little different. On the picture, he has big armholes painted into his sleeveless shirt. On the product, it's painted black all the way up to his armpits. No big deal really. Other than that, the paint job is very good. Wonder Man has a character-dedicated vehicle that looks great and he fits onto it very well and stays on. I love the idea of the character-dedicated vehicles. It would have been nicer if they had a light and sound feature or fired a missile or something, but this is a good start. He also comes with a very recent Avengers #51 comic book--which is OK at showing you what Wonder man can do. One other nice little detail that Wonder Man has is a little figure of Yellowjacket, a.k.a. Henry Pym, who was first the original Antman and Giant Man. He doesn't have any articulation, but can attach to Wonder Man at his lower back. Once Yellowjacket is in there, he displays very well. Wonder Man seems fairly easy to purchase, so getting one or replacing a broken one should be simple. But, if you are deciding whether to get one or not, I highly recommend that you do. This figure is very good and any Marvel Legends/Avengers fan would be pleased.

What education is an action figure suppossed to impart, how to stand motionless until played with? Anyway, great fig, good paint job, nice sculpting. articulation-ball neck, shoulders and hips, cut biceps, thighs, forearms and waist, pegged and hinged ankles, hands and abs, double peg and hinge elbows and knees, lateral shoulder rotation. my beef w/ the fig is probably just a manufacturing defect, but my ball shoulders are stationary except straight out in front, up-down only no rotation in the socket at all. i tried to fix this and in turn loosened the already loose bicep swivel and ab P&H joint. other than that, minimal paint bleed, colors mostly consistant. face sculpt isn't the greatest ML has ever done, but in the top 5% of sculpts, so a good value overall. accessories are cool, the yellow jacket is a might useless, as is the bike, but at least the bike is pretty. enjoy!!

I've been waiting for a Wonder-Man figure for awhile. I have one based on the short lived Avengers cartoon but while fairly cool it does look quite different from all of the comic book versions.
Anyway, on to the figure at hand. The figure itself looks pretty good but I thought the choice of his vehicle was a little odd. If he had to have a vehicle to ride on I would have thought it should be more like the sky cycles that were used in some issues of the West Coast Avengers.
The Yellowjacket figure is a nice inclusion. Unfortunately mine is defective. I can plug him into the back of the WM figure but only upside down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Figure, Bad Series, March 27, 2006

The Legendary Riders Series has been a big disappointment, with one figure Recalled, and THREE short-packed(the most anticipated, and desired 3 I might add), and one overly-heavy-packed (*ehm*THING*ehm*), this series is not the best ML line to date.
The Wonder-Man is a decent figure with a decent paint ops. The vehicle choices for some are a little strange however, Thing has a "po-go hopper", and two flying characters come with gliders, however much sense that makes. Also, Wonder-Man can FLY at near supersonic speeds (he even comes with his classic rocket belt designed by Tony Stark [a nice touch on the figure sculpt]), so why would he waste his time puttering around on the little moped thing they decided to pack in with him.
On the positive, he is an Avenger so that is points in his favor. The Yellow Jacket figure he comes with is also a nice touch.
There is a purple "particle" variant out there of this figure, that is based on his more modern powers and appearance. (This is demonstrated quite nicely in the issue of Avengers he comes with.)
A decent figure true to ML tradition. The problem in this Series is not the figures themselves, but the marketing. What was Toy Biz thinking? Short packing the 3 most desired figures dosen't create demand, it irritates and annoys people. Make enough for everyone, and the sellers aren't as likely to restock the shelves when they have the five Things they didn't sell still sitting there.
